It was days and nights that you and your husband waiting to carry out the mission you had both planned. Indeed, Your goal is to eradicate the entire family of his brother, Periander.
As you were one of Electra's ladies-in-waiting, you were aware that these children were bastards, as she had allegedly had relations with the thunder of god Zeus.
Periander screamed when he discovered this deception and that only one of the twins would be his. The king of Corinth rushed to take the twins to have their eyes checked. One of the twins had blue eyes and was rejected, while the brown-eyed Periander kept him.
"Electra," you said as you approached your friend, trying to help her. "You must protect the boy," she said worriedly.
She knew that with your gaze, she could trust you. You took the child Periander was holding in his arms to safety while Electra struggled against her husband. Zeus appeared before them, protecting Electra and her son.
You managed to escape with the child in your arms under the gaze you knew all too well. You then rushed to your husband's chambers when he saw his brother's child.
He looked at you. "Were you able to have him?" he asked. "Yes," you replied. "I'll take care of the rest." he replied, taking the newborn and kissing you before discreetly leaving your chambers.
A silence fell in the room. You waited for minutes, perhaps hours. But this moment of absence was interrupted when one of the servants entered your chambers. "Madam, your lord husband has returned," he declared.
Your husband appeared without the child in his arms, and just from his look, you knew more or less what he was feeling. "I did it," he said guiltily. "Is the kid dead?" you asked. "No idea, I asked one of the servants to check for me. I couldn't see the child," he admitted bitterly as you moved closer to calm your husband's anger. He let you go when you wrapped your arms around his back. He relaxed at your touch as if the weight of your duty had lifted. "The baby didn't even cry," your husband informed him. "Oh," you replied speechlessly.
"I want out of this nightmare," he admitted. "Your nightmare and our nightmare," you replied to comfort him. He kissed your hand to feel your warmth once more.
Silence fell in the room, with just you, comforting your husband.
