The HTTYD movies were bad. The books were better.

Those fucking movies were just the same "ohhh no the scary creatures are so nice actually :(((" storyline that's been done a million times, with some "horsegirls for boys" thrown in. The books were actually unique. A whole world where everyone's training dragons and the main kid CANNOT get his to pay any fucking attention, despite the fact that this kid is ALSO the only person who can speak Dragonese. They cut ALL of that out of the movie! Toothless had actual dialogue in the books, he wasn't just some wild animal!

christmas > halloween aesthetically and it’s not even close

i must preface this by saying i’m not christian, catholic, or even religious of any kind. anyways yes christmas has been plagued by commercialism and consumerism, but like, so has halloween? both in the modern era encourage buying or making decorations, both will take over every store aesthetically and both encourage giving out things, christmas having presents and halloween having sweets for trick or treating. however, consider this; christmas is prettier. you ever look at a christmas card where the snow is all on the ground and robins are abound, and there’s the warm glow of candles and shit? that’s the shit! and the thing is, it’s special because christmas is the only time of year where that kind of aesthetic is applicable without it seeming out of place; you can have the halloween aesthetic all year round, cause if not then no one would be able to watch horror movies outside of october, which makes it feel less special! i understand that people don’t like christmas for many reasons, and i get that, but you can’t deny the aesthetic of it all isn’t at least a bit pretty. do cute red and green decorations and snowflakes and an open fire mean nothing to you?

It’s fast, it’s efficient, it’s nutritious if you add fruits and vegetables. It’s easy to prepare and you can drink it on the go. I need the protein but chicken breast tastes disgusting either way, and I’m tired of putting in so much effort to make the joyless rubbery meat taste good.

I find that they're okay to listen to for about 15 seconds and then I'm in agony for the remainder, listening to them saying the same words over and over. Link Click is criminally under-acknowledged for how good it is. It has top-tier production values, interesting, well-designed characters, and an overarching narrative so engaging it had me damn curious by the end of episode 1 and absolutely hooked by the end of episode 3. And that's without even getting into how good the music is; once Dive Back in Time and OverThink are lodged in your brain, there will be NO getting them out. It's highly-scored on MAL and anilist, which is something, but it deserves a much broader audience than it has. I honestly believe this series WOULD be mainstream if it had been produced in Japan, but so many people have yet to look past sinophobic biases to even give it a chance.
