So this said that sugarfly says at the end of the episode is said to have had a long discussion with Elder faerie to plant the silver tree.

It is also said that this guest is as silent as the wind.

We don’t know what Silent Salt looks like pre corrupted, but it is hinted That their color was white based off the soul jam.

There have also been theories that silent salt could be elder faerie, or is at least connected to elder faerie, the beasts at some point.

So, my theory is that silent salt, was willing to plant the tree in order to seal all of the other beasts, knowing that they will also be sealed as well.

I also said that maybe they knew they were gonna be corrupted at some point, knowing that all of the beasts have been going insane for quite a while.

As far as the Words of Elder Faerie concerns, or is attitude in general, because of some silent vow or something, that could be why Elder ferry said absolutely nothing about that in the first trailer.

Also, it more or less strengthen the idea of why elder ferry was so protective, yet caring about white Lily in the first place because her other half might’ve had a similar fate to white Lily, and may have a bit more of a good will

It’s can also link to the idea of silence salt, being connected to Elder Faerie, as maybe some past lover, something or something or just an honored acquaintance.

long story short, the ceiling of the tree was all just a silence scheme from the silent beast. And perhaps we will know that in the next step episode coming in October most likely.
