The games were more and more fierce. Gwen's gaze had wholly turned to the championships, not caring about anyone other than her team. Of course, she missed walking with friends, kissing someone, and relaxing for a few moments. But she couldn't. Winning was much more critical. The fans deserved that they did their best, and the young woman, now a captain of the Hollyhead Harpies, could not keep them waiting.
The work was so intense that sleeping had started to become a problem for the young woman who felt exhausted in the middle of one of the restaurants on Diagonal Alley. With her drink and something to eat, the time with nothing to think about seemed to reveal all the pains of training and the complaint of a possible broken rib. She was about to leave, considering the idea of asking to take everything home and sleep on the couch when someone sat across from her.
She looked at the person, drinking again and quickly erasing the signs of her tiredness. "I'm already leaving. You can stay." Gwen smiled, preparing to get up and try to get out of there before anyone recognized her.
