Fell Contract [Robyn & Titania]
practicalandtacticalâ
Titania drew her mount to a stop, just before exiting the shelter of the forest. She didnât normally accept jobs that took her from Crimea, though with as lucrative as this client was willing to be, and how direly they had conveyed the threat to their livelihood if this individual and their group wasnât stopped... There was no harm in at least investigating if their claims were true.
Peering into the valley before them, Titania could only make out the one figure by the river that snaked through the valleyâs lowest parts. Dressed in some kind of dark, hooded overcoat, it seemed doubtful that this one lone person could be the source of such hardship, yet here they were, one of the groupâs leaders, just as the intelligence sheâd been given had advised.
Satisfied with her present command of the high ground and with the other party seemingly alone, Titania gently indicated to her mount to move forwards on the path towards the valleyâs river. The least she could do was try and hear their side of the story.
