thinking about how they added the 2017 movie blue ranger to battle for the grid, but it couldn't be 2017 billy for some reason, so they just made an oc who amounted to a raiden mortal kombat clone

still kind of annoyed by people who don't understand that the reason they didn't morph until the last ~11 mins of the movie in pr 2017 is bc they had to Actually Earn It. they had to learn to trust each other and work as a team - a fucking UNIT - before they could even use their powers properly. there would be next to no pay off if they just immediately had the ability to morph. this was a movie, not a tv show; they couldn't just be able to morph right off the bat, otherwise there would be no real content for the movie's story. this team isn't the 90s mmpr team. we don't know them. we have to get to know them, ergo, they don't get to morph until they've gotten closer and we as the audience get to learn more about them too. it's honestly not that difficult of a storytelling concept to grasp, but people still don't understand it To This Day.
