Zen: "I received my life from you. Tell me, have I lived with all my might?"

Taking down the Spider Boss requires destroying a shell it builds from shields on four of its legs first. This shell may regenerate. In case you are having flashbacks to Shadow Mitsuo now, they are sadly completely justified. If it's a bit of a comfort, each of the legs is vulnerable to the element opposite of the color of the gem on its shield. 

This battle can become very long and annoying, even on lowest difficulty.

This boss made me laugh mad when I realized he uses a gimmick-mechanic I absolutely despise in RPGs: That one spell that puts a non-erasable countdown onto your party members that kills them as soon as it hits zero. The only way to lengthen the counter is to have your party members continuously cast Samerecarm on each other or spam Balm of Life. I personally prefer to let them die and then revive them, because I'm lazy.

Chronos is very talk-active during the battle.

Clockwork God: "The time has come. The time to fulfill our duty and to return to our original form."

Clockwork God: "You have forgotten your purpose. However, now your memory has been mended."

Clockwork God: "You had reduced yourself to a mere human. A useless, weak human."

Clockwork God: "I will erase you. I will erase you, part of myself, and return all that is in this place to dust."

Clockwork God: "The time has come."

Eventually, this mid-battle cut-scene is triggered.

Clockwork God: "My actors, you have done your work well."

Clockwork God: "Yet, why have you not returned home yet? This stage's curtain has already fallen..."

Clockwork God: "Why would I, myself, oppose time itself, as it claims a human whose fate has already been decided?"

Clockwork God: "Oh, humans. You fleeting, weak seeds. If you so wish, I shall erase you along with that part of myself..."

Clockwork God: "I am Chronos. From birth on, I walk by people's sides as they journey..."

Clockwork God: "They are fleeting beings, just like brief dreams that disappear before you can attempt to grasp them. In the end, all strength you hold is fragile and easily broken..."

Clockwork God: "You cannot stand against either birth or death..."

Fuuka: "We have all changed. Zen-kun and Rei-chan, the people from Yaso-High... They're all precious to me now!"

Rise: "Exactly! That's why we're still fighting together!"

Rise: "Rei-chan and Zen-kun are part of our team!"

Yukari: "That I came to this strange place and met you all helped me strike down all those fears and weaknesses in me... I was led this far... with kindness..."

Aigis: "People's strength blooms for the sake of other people. It is a will that exists for the sake of those precious to us... To, too, wish to exist this way!"

Yosuke: "It could be that we're all fighting for different reasons, but what we have in common that we all have things we won't give up on! And that's why we're here right now!"
