If your work is getting consistently rejected by respected publications/galleries/critics who logically should be interested in what you are making then it is probably awful or derivative and you need to step back and reevaluate what you think you are doing. If your friends and local arts community says what you are doing is great and to not worry about the opinions of others, they are lying to you.
