Making vases
Trying to figure out this image. I am playing with new materials and I feel like my mind is not working the way it usually does.
Project Progress
The project I am working on is a 6ft x 4ft image based on the concept I have been working on for several semesters now. Â In short, my concept centers around aerial landscapes and being unaware of ones overall surroundings. The image I am working on is made with different threads to imply changes in visual depth. Working on this image has been an extremely tedious task, as every line is sewn into the paper. Each mark must be thought out and done carefully in order to avoid any tears or damage to the paper.
What I have done:
Painted the background
Purchased materials needed
In the process of working on the image
Completed around 15%-20% of the image overall
What I need to do:
Complete the main area of the image
Decide if any other elements need to be included
Decide on additional materials/ embellishments if needed
Research materials needed for its display
Purchase those materials and attempt display
Completed November 1st:
I hope to complete an additional 15%-20% of my image by Novemeber 1st. I do not see it being any further than that because of how tedious it is. Â Getting from one end of the paper to the other one to two times can take up to three hours. With that that said, I do not see my image being completed this fall semester due to the amount of detail I would like it to have.
