Not me waking up thinking about Ollie being represented by the fool card and Prototype still dressing that way as if trying to hold onto who he once was.
Also, the Fool can embody the characteristics of any other Major Arcana cards. It changes based on it's experiences. The people in his life literally made him a monster physically and psychologically. He started at 0 and was surrounded by horrible monsters. It was the only frame of reference he had.
Also, also, the pic of the fool in PP is missing the dog, which is a companion to the fool that warns him of approaching danger. Letting him know to look where he currently is instead of always up (to heaven). Ollie literally had had to learn to protect himself. He had no one else.

┈ ┈ I think Oliver might have had some issues with one eye after the hammer incident he mentioned. I also wanted to reflect this in his Prototype version: you can see the cracks on the original model in the game, but here I wanted to make them larger and reflect them as an injury that didn't heal even after the transformation.
I don't know which idea is sadder,
The idea that Poppy never found out that the Prototype is her brother, not understanding his pain, his perspective of their father and the torment that all started as a means to bring Poppy back. Not understanding why the betrayal he feels from her actions is so strong, not understanding why he obsseses over her and her choices and her feelings. Never knowing of what he suffered through, what he endured all because he was told that at the end of it he would have a family, he would have a sister. She will spend the rest of her eternal doll life mourning for the family she lost in life, mourning for any scrap of her family, pleading to stars she can not see for her father, to find any wisdom he may have left her, not knowing he left her an entire brother that doesn't reveal this knowledge because he doesn't think she will believe him and he can not tolerate the heartbreak of his sister's rejection. The idea that they both long for family but can not find it in each other because they have both become so twisted in their circumstances. And now the Player is here to kill the Prototype, Oliver, on Poppy's behalf without Poppy ever knowing the truth.
Or the idea that Poppy does know, that she had to watch her brother be twisted and corrupted by the awful place that took so much from their family. That she is forced to piece together who her brother was before the torture. That she knows she will never have peace with the one person who may be able to understand her grief. That she will never get to have a good relationship with the one member left of her family, of the one thing her father left behind. She gets to know that the one thing she wants most of all, family, is still alive and searching for her as well but it doesn't matter because neither of them will waver in their morals. Stuck on two different sides of a war, both just trying to find the best way to fix the mistakes their father made, both with very different perspectives of one man, neither understanding that the version of their father the other had was different than their own. Poppy has to make the difficult choice to enlist the Player to murder her own brother, and insisting to herself that it is the only way. That killing the only remaining member of her family is worth it for the cause.

My Prototype design take + thoughts on the design

OKAY. PROTOTYPE. im really glad im not the only one who is Not Happy about the design. i stopped caring about poppy playtime, never thought it was a... good game.. but it stilled always interested me. prototype espically. that voice is cool as fuck!
So yes. the design is super underwhelming. by itself? not bad! i think it looks cool? but this guy was hyped to hell and back. and the design doesnt rlly reflect how BIG he is supposed to be to the story. its just some... creepy jester.
now i understand he is a toy'! hes supposed to be a toy ! i was never a fan of the skull/human face headcanons. but i feel like it couldve been done way more creatively. have some fun with it!!! go crazy!!!
so heres what i shat out in an hour. it could be better! this could look more better! i actually am not too proud of this, i could wait and let more ideas cook but im impatient lmao.
this was made in a fraction of the time Mob did to cook up this design. i mean nothing harsh to the person who designed protoype, i just think they couldve done more with it. hell, yarnabys design is more cool and creative than this guys! i love yarnaby.
im not saying this take is "better" . art is subjective. i just wanted to do what i wouldve personally went with for prototype. if you like his canon design, all power to you. have fun.
the reason why I actually don't give a fuck about huggy wuggy's ending is because they destroyed the character they had by stretching it out. all of that character progress and understanding between him and kissy missy is too little too late. it could've been a huge satisfying pay off, but poppy playtime has no pay offs. there's no point.
i don't give a fuck about poppy anymore. watching the game (because i'm not paying THAT price for an unfinished game, not to mention how awful those puzzles are) was a challenge because i didn't care about the characters (that fucking Thing has no facial expressions and is the most useless escort ever), the puzzles didn't look fun — the MULTIPLE STREAMERS i watched weren't having fun — and then at the end of the chapter, when you ask what you pushed through it for, you get slapped in the face with a pile of shit. and the devs are still searching your wallet while you wipe it off your face. you STILL have more to do.
