It was never easy for Carter, it wasn't easy growing up, living with unexplained outbursts, building walls just so people could knock them down, never hearing the words 'I love you', besides from her family of course, trying to ignore the pain that had built in her after all those years of suffering. Her family was the main reason she was alive, if she didn't have the strong urge to look after them, there would be no reason for her anymore. She sits alone in her room or in the woods downing a bottle of alcohol by herself in order for her to feel numb almost weekly. Her walls are crumbling, her world doesn't make sense anymore and she lives because she has to, not because she wants to. "I'm pathetic," she says to herself as tears stream down her face as she leans over her dresser before she pushes everything that was on the surface to the ground and walked over to look in her full body mirror. "Stop crying," she tells herself. "Stop it, you look pathetic, stop crying," she repeats as her hand balls into a fist and slams it into the mirror, shattering it. Her knees collapse and she falls to the floor, blood staining the mirror and her fist covered in pieces of glass and blood as it slides down her arm. This was her breaking point, this was her world caving in on her and she was giving up.
