May the Fourth is… When you accidentally find your long lost Artoo with pop up lightsaber in an inconspicuous looking plastic bag in the basement of your mum. Well I wished 😅 It’s a true story though that I found one such kind of bag in my mum’s basement years after I sold (what I thought was) all my Kenner figures. That bag contained maybe ten or twelve remaining figures of my former collection and since I needed money to buy the Warhammer fantasy role playing rulebook, I went to a local fantasy store to sell these figures and was pleasantly surprised that they offered 100 DM (50€). Two decades later I knew why, as the bag contained Amanaman and Yak Face among other treasures. What did I know in the early 90s about their value anyway!? Nothing. So here’s another true story: this Artoo is a repro figure. To me that is very satisfying as I never was a big fan of the pop up version of Artoo anyway. I found the lightsaber lame (it looked more like a club) and it would be way to pricey to buy back the genuine figure. The repro figure is fantastic and it’s hard to tell that it is a repro in the first place. Oh and it’s so shiny 😬 #starwars #actionfigures #kenner #popuplightsaber #r2d2 #artoodetoo #artoo #droids #potf #poweroftheforce #last17 https://www.instagram.com/p/COdbs7Dgz6m/?igshid=1jt3mz2elxwto
