Rs 20 crore EMD shapes NTPC REL Wind power projects competition
Wind power projects linked to NTPC REL’s 215 MW Anantapur-II package are being filtered through a high-security tender structure. The tender, NRE-CS-5931-003-9, was issued on 04 May 2026 for development of a wind energy project at the ISTS Anantapur-II substation in Andhra Pradesh under Tranche-III.
The bid uses an open domestic, two-envelope model with technical and financial evaluation. The EMD is Rs 20 crore, while tender documents are free and the ETS bidding fee is Rs 16,500 excluding GST. The pre-bid meeting was optional, but queries were time-bound up to 15 May 2026.
The deadline moved from 29 May 2026 to 07 July 2026, a 39-day extension. Five corrigenda were recorded between 14 May and 22 June 2026. EnergylineIndia.com records this as a key Renewable energy tenders development because bid security and repeated extensions can shape participation quality. Wind power projects at this scale require turbine supply, balance-of-plant execution, evacuation coordination and commissioning discipline. Wind power projects also require strong balance-sheet readiness before price discovery. Wind power projects may attract serious developers, not speculative bidders. Wind power projects pricing remains undisclosed.
