Vampires session four happened. Honestly I'm gonna stop making predictions because I didn't think it was possible for me to be any more wrong that I was about session 3. But, well.
Instead, I'm gonna look at the thoughts, goals and feelings of the players in the various factions. Spoilers ahead, but I do assume you at least know most of what happened in everyone's POV in my analysis
Faction One: The Vampire Coven - The four Vampires living in the castle. The most weary of humans and likely the main villainous force for the Humans in the long run.
Scott - is sort of falling into the "Let's kill humans" mindset. He's definitely more overtly trying to control Pyro and Shubble and attempting to turn them against humans. It's honestly starting to feel like Owen might be taking his spot as leader of the Vampires.
Owen - Way more overtly sinister than he already was. He's definitely the biggest threat on team Vampire with his skill in stealth, and is particularly a threat to Pyro and Shubble is they continue going down the route of trying to cure themselves. As for Owen it's very clear with the lore we got this episode that he doesn't want to be cured due to his vampirism being his last connection to Louis. He seems to like his new Vamp family though, but he definitely overestimates how willing they are to do harm, Shubble wasn't particularly happy to find out he burned a castle full of children it seemed. It's also possible he turns Drift to torture Avid. (Oh and while I'm here, Owen definitely killed Avids partner and possibly Pearls family and Matyns dad. Hell he might even be thr killer from Drifts case and the killer of Shubbles dad, but both of those are far more unlikely)
Shubble - Oh Boy. Shubble definitely did not have the best time this episode, a lot of her fears about the humans were seemingly confirmed here and it seems like she's going full in on the Vamp life style... at first. Remeber, she wants to at least learn about the Cure and clearly is afraid of Owen and even Scott based on her final conversation with Pyro at the end of their episodes, and it's possible she was only reluctant to go back to town with Avid because Scott was watching them, forcing her to be more hostile to him. However considering Avid likely won't want to speak with her again and that the Cure likely requires killing her roomate, it's possible she ends up siding with the coven in the long run.
Pyro - Definitely the weakest link in the coven. He's becoming jaded with the Vampire lifestyle due to feeling trapped and being definitely afraid of Scott. He is the most active in persueing a Cure and is the friendliest with humans during the conversations Avid alows him to have with them. He definitely overestimates Avids willingness to see this Cure idea through though, if the two are caught alone I do believe Avid will attack him, but the rest of the town might be chill. His main concern should be about Owen catching him and Shelby with Legs. Scott might forgive Shelby, but Pyro is already on thin ice with his Sire and might get kicked out the coven if he's careful. (Ps while I'm here, I don't think the cure will require Pyro dying to cure Shubble and Cleo, I think killing Scott will cure pyro and be extention those he has turned)
Faction Two: The Cure Hunters - Cleo's inner circle. The most likely to persue a Cure even if the rest of the town turns against the idea.
Cleo - alright guess Cleo won't be following the plan they specifically outlined for what they'd do if they became a vampire. Cool, cool. Very ironic that miss gaslight herself is going all in on truth and honesty but very glad it's happening. They're doing a very good job at leading the town as well, things were mostly relaxed on the towns end (unless your Avid) due to Cleo's leadership, and I doubt the Cure would be persued as throughly by the townies if Cleo wasn't pushing it. As for telling the rest of the town about being a vampire, I'm not really sure how that would end. Pearl, Martyn and Legs were calm about it, but I'm not sure how people like Sausage or Abolish would react, and Avid definitely won't take it well, and if he gets more power he could potential rally the others to kick cleo out. That's not particularly likely but is still a possibility to be concerned about. As for speaking eith the Coven, that angle has likely passed as Owen caught them talking to Legs, very likely the coven doesnt want anything to fo with them which will be a problem in trying to communicate with Pyro and Shubble. Oh also She and Apo end their episodes talking about how attractive Pearl is????? Not sure what that was about.
Legs - First of all, he's DEFINITELY eaten human flesh with bow he talks about "knowing what hunger can do to people" and refusing to eat meat. Makes me sort of concerned he'd starve himself if he was turned, but honestly that makes his complete dedication to helping the Vampires even more admirable. Hopefully he's able to build bridges with them before Avids Paranoia burns them down again, or else he and cleo might have to slap him again. Legs will probably be a very important player going forward. While I'm here there's an idea that there is two cures based on one boom being called "the cure" and the other being called "the remedy" and if that is the case and if one doesn't involve killing Scott then that would be useful in getting Shelbys help.
Apo - Oh Boy Apo is having a time. She's joined up with the militia, which is a go idea from a defensive perspective, only these 3 are only making her guilt worse by how they talk about Vampires. Martyn especially with his "kill on sight comment" (very ironic considering Martyn believes some Vampires can be good). Things in the malitia are likely only going to get worse for Apo now that Mr. "all hope is lost let's kill them all" Avid is part of the group. Honestly burning down her house doesn't seem like that much of an overreaction anymore. However, if Apo keeps working with Cleo and Legs I do feel like their outlook will shift since they'd actually have people who would trust them, even when their a vampire. They'll definitely keep working together in the coming sessions. P.S the "running gag" of everyone thinking she's good at fighting due to being in the military while she hates blood and is an architect will never not be funny I hope this never stops happening to them.
Pearl - How. How is she still doing this. She's alone with Pyro in the woods for a long time and still she never gets turned. What gods are looking out for this girl. Oh yeah she also misses the massive cure discussion in town but it's Pearl what else is new. Very likely she'll be collaborating with Cleo, Legs and Apo to complete the cure next episode. She's also still the best bet at communicating with the Vampires, The coven doesn't trust Apo and Cleo, Drift is working with Avid, Owen doenst trust Legs and everyone else is too scared or too unwilling to talk to the vamps, but Pearl not only is very friendly with them but is also very much not afraid of them and definitely still sees them as friends. She and Abolish might be overestimating how helpful Pyro is being, he definitely didn't give her the blood to help with the cure, but it definitely reinforced the idea in the towns mind that the Vampires want help which will be very important it performing the cure and getting them to trust Apo and Cleo when they reveal themselves. On the point of Cleo, if Avid doesn't get the town to kick them out Pearl will almost certainly go with them (Legs too), which will definitely spell doom for the town, they simply won't have the numbers to take on the vamps without those four. Now, will Pearl get turned? Now I said previously that she would, but that was under the assumption cleo would turn her, but clearly she doesn't want to and Apo doesn't want to either. Pyro is reluctant to clearly as he doenst when there alone this episode, and Shelby only attacks in self defense and if an attack on the castle is launched I don't think Pearl will be a part of it. And the vamps are more Interested in weakening the humans than outright attacking them. Honestly, Pearl will likely be one of the last to turn. Hell with her luck she could stroll right across that bringe and she'd have a lovely time talking about Scott's architecture and Shelbys dress and they'd all forget they have to kill each other. Her luck is insane.
Faction 2.5: Could easily go in either Faction 2 or Faction 3. Really depends on who they ally themselves to.
1. Martyn - Martyn is a complicated figure. He clearly trusts Cleo and states he'd be fine leaving the Vampires be as long as they don't bite him (naturally though he describes this in the gayest way possible) but he also joins the secret anti vampire military. Then again that military was primarily formed to look out for other dangerous Vampires, which wont really be a concern. I think he's more likely to go with Cleos group, but if cleo is kicked out of town he likely hangs back and plays secret mediator between them and Avid.
2. Abolish - another confusing one. They raise suspicions about cleo being a vampire even though she hasn't hurt anyone and has allied to the Oakhurst Malitia, but he seems very interested in curing the other vampires, refuses to give up on Pyro and Shelby even when the other militia members do, and is the first to raise the (albeit, incorrect) idea that Pyro gave Pearl the blood to help make the cure. He could join Cleos group, and is almost certainly the next one they'd tell, but I do think if push comes to shove they'd stay in the town.
Faction Three: The Slayers - people who, while searching for the cure, feel like they'd be more willing to just say "kill all vampires" if things go south in that regard.
Drift - the most tentative member of this group. Really only placed here because they are self-destructively loyal to Avid. They do belive in curing Vampires, haven't given up on Shleby and backed off from pursuing Cleo when Pearl rightfully said they were doing a Witch hunt, but they're loyalty to Avid means they'll probably defer to him in most situations and he is on the edge of snapping. If he gets more unhinged maybe she'd leave him, but as of right now she's on his side.
Ren - the founder of the Oakhurst malitia and the person to be calling for defending the town above all else. Makes it so interesting it seems he's considering becoming a vampire. If he does I'm not really sure what would happen and how people would react. I'd think he'd try to live with the town, but would Avid take it well? Martyn might take him over to Cleos crew if he is chased out of town. Though maybe he could also be a vampire spy in the coven, Owen definitely trusts him more than Cleo or Apo. Remains to be seen I guess.
Sausage - seems to be slowly doubting the whole cure thing, though it's possible they still try to help Cleo in persueing it while planning his own things in the background. I'll also mention the idea that he'll willingly become a vampire for a more exciting story. Very funny, very Sausage, entirely possible.
Avid - oh Avid. He has the worst time of all and it's 99% his fault. Some advice for furture vampire Hunters, if you want to make Vampires feel safe around you, don't repeatedly attack their friends unprovoked and call all vampires Monsters repeatedly. Not very surprising Shubble and Pyro dont trust him anymore, but the town is also starting to get fed up with him considering how Legs, Cleo and Ren reacted to him burning Shelbys house. Him convincing the town to trust him over cleo, while possible, I very unlikely. There's two ways his story could go, if he relaxes a bit he could easily help speed up researching the cure, especially when.Cleo and Apo fully reveal themselves to the town so they know what's up. But if Avid goes off the deep end, I'm not sure if anyone would side with him for very long with only the possible exception of Drift. If he thinks cleo can't be trusted he might just go "well towns doomed" burn it all and.run off into the woods to try and kill the vamps himself. That would be a terrible move from him and he'd almost certainly die, but if he let's ilhis Paranoia Fester that's the road he's heading down.
