I think it absolutely criminal that you can't take Rolan with you to save Cal and Lia. And the fact that he gets so down on himself after Tav and the group save him- like, he had already defeated so many shadow cursed ravens and shadows before we get to him! He was doing wonderful on his own. He just needed a bit of backup! He would have been so useful as an addition. I don't even need him to be in my camp with me (though I'd love it). I just need him to wait at the Last Light Inn until I'm ready to save Cal and Lia, then tell him to come along with me. That's all I need. Let our man save his siblings while we help
