Got the sillies two nights back while hanging out with friends in VC, did these!! And ofc had to draw my friend's wife,, 😔✨✨💖 Wave the Swallow needs more love fr!!!
It's also my first time drawing Mangus! I kinda like the physical sketch better, but I think it looks good regardless!
Running with an idea presented in this old X-Men comic I remember reading; Logan announced he would be "going out hunting" on the mansion's grounds around the time he first joined the team, and Ororo took personal offense to that. She interrupts him just as he's about to tag a deer, only to find that when he says "hunting", that doesn't necessarily involve anything about "hurting" or "killing".
Thus, here is Mauvit'fur! They's out hunting for some new plants to observe and study while they's foraging in some wet soil. This one wasn't here last season, though! And it's surprising to see one like this in the environment its in... Looks like they's gonna be busy for a little while, learning more about this lil guy!
For further context, Mauvit'fur used to be a needleworker/weaver/tailor by trade! They doesn't get to do it much anymore since fleeing their home planet into space, so anytime they and their crew are planet-side on one of their more common stops, they does their best to find any materials they may need for the next little while!

For some reason as soon as I went to title this one on another site, the chorus from "Spoonman" by Soundgarden popped up,, XDD
Somewhat fitting, I guess! It'd probably be something he listens to now and again,, :]c
Anyway!!! Got the thought to doodle him, try to work out designs for his wings!! It's been built off of the last time I drew his wings; for these, I'm thinking of having the fingers for the wings extend off of his second through fifth proximal phalanges; muscles running through both! With this, the wing's "hand" can curl and grip somewhat separately from the wing itself!
And then their shape - they'd be elliptical! This wing shape (at least, among birds) provides for maneuverability in tight spaces. I thought it'd be fun, considering much of what we see in-game (still haven't decided on a name for their world; am open to suggestions). His wings would lend themselves better to dodging projectiles than long distances (though, I have a possible solution for that,, >:]c ).
Now - trying to do the patterns?? ough. My fucking detested. Only because!! I have not designed his mother's wings!! so I don't know how I want his to look!!! Hence, this is subject to change in the future (though I have entirely considered having this patterns as a sorta "juvenile" pattern that he grows out of later on; makes for a good excuse)! My first attempt to pattern him came out like peacock feathers,, XDD Just tiny eyes dotted all about the membranes!
Also, his tail; not sure whether I'm convinced to keep it that long... The sketch originally had it longer, but I didn't imagine him vibing all too much with so much whip in his tail, nor the implication of how thick it was starting off as... Part of me feels he'd be better with a shorter, blunter tail, but I can't help itttt, I'm a sucker for long prehensile ones!! Agh, who knows how it'll end up!
There's also his spiracles; a small detail, but I wanted to add them in! Wasn't able to get too good of a look off of the basic internet searches to determine their shape and size fr, so I just "fuck it, we ball"'d the things,, :] d
Anyway. I also drew this to sorta show what my messy sketchy comms would look like! realized belatedly that I didn't have much by way of examples for it, and thought this would make a good one. Most notable is the messy lineart; it's still readable, but weight is inconsistent in plenty places, and not all the lines close in a reasonable place, if at all!
But yeah. The him!! :D d
alt text under the break!!
A messily sketched fullbody of Eddie Riggs, mid-flight in his demonic form and looking off to canvas/camera left with a murmured "oh, shit -". He looks somewhat surprised, though mostly like he's trying to avoid confrontation, and is wearing dark blue jeans and his signature shoes while wielding his mother's axe, The Separator.
Context is that Chris' de-activation from his Malfunctioned Tasmanian Devil Suit wasn't a perfect one, so certain changes from the suit... linger, so to speak :]c
Idea is that Chris did something to inconvenience at best, annoy at worst, his brother, Martin. Dunno what that thing is tbh.
In an effort to help brainstorm ideas about the worldbuilding project I've been working on for one of my bois (and cuz I thought it would be a fun prompt to do) I drew one of my friend's sonas as a character in said world!
Meet Viaat'mur (@veamers), the local dye-maker for one of the Mountain-Dweller tribes that live in the Arctic regions with looooots of deep snow!
As per the lore we made together, she lives in a small/medium sized den on a hill overlooking the village, separated only because the dye-making process occasionally includes plants or other ingredients that are dangerous to handle, especially around nosy peaklings and wheps who have slipped away from their sires. Also, being closer to the forest, there's easier access to ingredients!
Large paws help her stay atop the deep snow in the colder seasons, and long fur keeps her warm from all but the harshest winds, as well as camouflaging her pelt against the birch-like trees and hibernating black-vines!
Unlike Sea-Dwellers, Mountain-Dwellers (and the other terrestrial Kinds) have visible ears, and hers serve as a quick method to narrow identification from afar!
Here, Viaat'mur can be found going on a foraging trip for ingredients. She has with her a woven vine-skin basket to hold said ingredients in, a small scythe to collect with, a belt identifying what group she belongs to (plus a water skin and coin pouch), and a saddle - partially to keep the worst of the winds off her back, and to make anything burdensome she may have to carry less painful on her muscles.
The saddle is something you commonly see among Mountain-Dwellers - unlike some other Kinds, they don't have reliable beasts with which to carry their things whenever they travel. Those available are either ill-suited for common Mountain-Dweller terrain, or are notoriously hard to train. Of course, especially influential or rich Mountain-Dwellers may have beasts they have trained for the task (barely trained, but just enough to be efficient), but most Mountain-Dwellers will either carry their own load or have another do it for them.
Viaat'mur's saddle reflects her position in her village, boasting her skill both at creating the dyes and putting them to use. Over the years, the colors on her fur would disappear with every shed between cold and warm seasons, but sometimes it seems as though they have dyed her pelt itself, stubbornly shifting the hues around her mane and paws just slightly.
