Thinking about postnova prisoner. They are fragile and confused and forget a lot. They forget to eat or drink because they dont remember what hunger or thirst means. For the first couple weeks (at least) on timber hearth, they don't understand much of what's going on other than This is a different place and This seat is small and Why is my body warm and Where is my lantern. They're confused by the pulsing they feel on their throat, and the way their ribs swell and the air moves, and the way the clothes they've been wearing all this time feel so grubby. They don't know what these small, patchworked things are that mill around and bring them things, but they make a lot of noise. Ugh
