So I was in the shower thinking of how aliens could reproduce. Obviously the human way with M/F (and intersex) would be lazy, so I thought about how a combination system would work. I ended up on a system where three sex characteristics (Inseminating/Giving, Hosting/Receiving, and Nursing/Feeding) can occur, in any combination, from none to all. Giving is represented with an "I", Receiving is represented with a "T", Feeding is represented with an "X", and a perfectly asexual combination (none) is simply an "O" Multiple are permitted to form, so 8 sex combinations came about. O, I, T, X, TI, XI, XT, and IXT.

This would also make from pretty interesting relationships- I thought of some names for a few Full: I-T-X

Flush: I-T-X-O

Knight's Pair: IXT-O Earthen Pair: I-XT Nursing Pair: XI-TI Also worth noting that since both giving and receiving could combine on one individual, TI and IXT can self impregnate, and thus make copies of themselves, which is why a Knight's pair works. I had a lot of other miscellaneous thoughts with this but I wanted to share this main system with the class
