Travis: The Man Who (180 gram, 20th anniversary edition, Craft Recordings, 2017). 'Cause there is no design for life There is no devil's haircut in your mind There is not a wonderwall' The lyrics (referencing The Manic Street Preachers, Beck & Oasis) to Travis' final track on The Man Who: 'Slide Show', summed up the disaffection with the notion of Cool Britannia that spawned the post-britpop era. Alongside the likes of The Verve & Radiohead, Travis were one of the major bands to emerge and flourish as britpop fizzled out.
