It is always easier to let negativity consume you until everything you touch becomes a shadow beside you. It is always easier to note the one bad thing than the hundreds of good. It is always easier to run away and hide from the possibility of being hurt emotionally.
It is one of my biggest flaws to allow myself to pick what is easier instead of what is best. In fact, and I say this with no intention of minimizing my actions, it is one of the biggest flaws of man. Laziness. In the show Gilmore Girls the infamously intense character Paris Geller says this: “She's either lazy or stupid. I can work with either. Frankly, sometimes stupid is easier. I can scare the stupid out of you, but the lazy runs deep.”
The Lazy Runs Deep… but today I wouldn’t let it beat me. I won’t let myself win. So, to combat it (and celebrate my productivity today) I’m gonna make an exercise out of looking on the bright side.
(Fortunately for me this is a double because I feel fear at looking forward in time) yay 🎉
- I’m no longer afraid that I won’t find a single college I like
- My Roblox skills are unmatched
- I have come so far in my reading journey that I read like 300 pages in one sitting with no discomfort and minor wishes to distract myself
- There is always music.
- The pillow im sleeping on is nice
- I was afforded an opportunity to prove myself, and I know that I work hard enough I can do it.
- I can look at the sunny side
- I can identify when I’m spiraling
- Caine from The Amazing Digital Circus is amazing
- Tony Stark
- Asher Donovan is still a prominent character in The Defender and The Keeper
- I got to go take pictures and feel like a celebrity for a couple hours
- I have many pieces of media that I am enjoying right now
- The Muppets may be coming back.
- I see a direction I can go in
- I can always look on the bright side
