So would meeting little Oscar turn out fairly similar in the Brothers Saved AU as it did in Brothers Together? It would be interesting to see the dynamic when Oscar and Dean are the "same size" (we all know Oscar would still be smaller, poor guy!), but would their relationship change too much based on their sizes? Frankly, Oscar could be put in every AU and I would be happy. šš¼

As it happens, this isĀ one of the future ideas we have for the AU, and itās going to be very different from Brothers Together!
For a hint, Dean will actually already know a lot of the survival techniques for living as a borrower by the time he meets the wee kiddo, as someone elseĀ will be teaching him that!
Their relationship will probably be a lot less scareĀ on Deanās part now that heās not the big huge teenager, and Samās nowhere near as intimidating as Dean can be.

We have a sequel all planned out that delves deeper into Jacobās little problem. The story is all plotted out, but we havenāt yet written it. Other stories have been crying out to be told first, but this one is on the list for stuff to tackle!

We doĀ have a storyline in mind for a tiny Jacob to meet up with canon Sam and Dean, we just havenāt had the opportunity to write it down as of this time. So, itās in the works, along with quite a few others!

I keep wondering if the ānormalā Winchester dying and returning again is going to be in one of the BA canons. Tbh, Iāve been trying to imagine what each brotherās reaction to the death, the time when they are gone, and the reunion would be. Especially with the actual BA brothers who have already been separated for most of their lives...

This is definitely a series based on Supernatural, and canon often plays a huge part in story twists. Though neither brother has died in any of the stories yet,Ā donāt discount the possibility. In any AU.
As to this happening in BA, it actually was supposed to occur already, in my original storyline. This plot got scrapped during my falling out with my old editor, and the revamped story is what you see today. Because of that, I did actually have just ONE LINE that I jotted down back in the day.

In the distant future, mankind has left Earth and colonized a whole 'nother galaxy full of planets. And they aren't treating many of these any better. Bowen in particular. One of the first planets to be colonized, Bowen is now little more than a floating dustball in a backwater section of space. Anyone who stops here only does so to refuel, and only if they can't make it elsewhere. They've been abandoned, left to their own devices, to govern themselves. It wasn't really worked out for them. Various groups fight for what resources remain and more than one person claims to be the man in charge. On top of all of that, there's rumors going around of people that can make stuff grow. Not farmers and the like, but actually special abilities. Most people dismiss this as just folktales and hopeful thinking. But some people, some of the powerful and dangerous, believe these people exist. And if they can control these people, there's nothing stopping them from controlling the rest of the planet.
[Char A] was five years old when her parents took in Ā [Char B], another five year old girl and an orphan. Their parents never talked about where she came from and any questions about it were dismissed. So the girls grew up together as sisters, though they looked nothing alike and it was clear that one was adopted. But it didn't seem to matter in their small town. And as they got older, they drifted apart. [Char A] grew jealous of [Char B]'s good looks and popularity. She resented the girl who shouldn't have been there in the first place.
When they were nineteen, the militia came. They were hunting down anyone who might be one of these special people that could make plants grow. They had a way of telling who was one of them. They rolled in in huge trucks and armed to the teeth. They demanded to see everyone. [Char A] didn't think anything of it. She wasn't anyone they were looking for and from news reports, they hadn't seriously hurt anyone in their search. Just a few bumps and bruises for those that didn't cooperate. It wasn't until her parents dragged her into their houses and told her their big secret in hushed voices. [Char B] wasn't all she appeared to be. [Char B] was one of those people with special abilities and her parents had known about it all this time. They'd made a promise to protect her, but couldn't say more. They didn't have time. [Char A] and [Char B] were smuggled out of the town through a crudely dug tunnel they hadn't even known about that sat right under their kitchen floor for years. But the girls were on their own. Their parents stayed behind, to buy them time. Time to get away. Time to find another place to hide, to blend in and pretend they knew nothing about these special people that could bring the planet back to its former glory. Or destroy it all.
In their escape, their parents are killed. [Char A] blames [Char B] and is finding it hard to even be near her, much less want to protect her. She'd be lying if she said the thought of turning her into the militia hadn't crossed her mind more than once.
[Char B] thinks there are others like her out there. There has to be. She can't be the only one. But finding them is going to be hard and directly conflicts with her adopted parents' final wish for her to hide and keep the two of them safe and under the militia's radar. Actively searching for others like her would no doubt draw the attention of militia and maybe others.
