Chase and Bobby for numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, mostly 19, 23 and 25.
( Send me a number and an OC
1. What memory would your OC rather just forget?
For both of them it would probably be one of the big climactic moments of Bowman of Wellwood, the story they originate from. Most people here probably already know it but I'll keep it vague in case there's some out there that have yet to be spoiled. Needless to say it was traumatic for all involved.
2. What’s something about your OC that people wouldn’t expect just from looking at them?
For Chase, people underestimate how good a liar he is, which only helps him sell the ruse. For Bobby, I think people wouldn't expect his temper. He jumps to frustration pretty fast when he doesn't get his way, exactly his way (it's something he knows to work on as he gets out of his teen years).
3. What is your OC’s fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw?
Chase: Very impulsive, aware of it, and unsure how to stop.
Bobby: The aforementioned temper. Not super aware of it outside of moments when he's getting angry about something.
5. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?
Chase would back down if things got too dark or heavy. Bobby needs to have that sense knocked into him, so he tends to go farther to get things (it comes from a place of extreme privilege; he's used to getting what he wants, but he's capable of listening and learning).
8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?
No
10. What’s an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?
Trick question, if I'm exploring an AU it's because I found it interesting. This could probably be a whole discussion on its own, though Chase has a couple fun AUs floating around this blog already!
12. Is your OC self-destructive? In what ways?
Chase could be considered a little self-destructive, probably. He's all impulse, very little consideration of long term consequences. He's going with the flow, which is good to a point. He needs more level-headed people to remind him to stay on track sometimes. Bobby's probably not that self-destructive? He's selfish but he doesn't fall into things that'd be harmful long term.
15. Does your OC have a faceclaim? If so, who?
I don't really have any faceclaims for either of them, no. Probably should try to find some.
17. What is the worst thing you have put your OC through story-wise?
Chase's worst time was probably in the Brothers Lost Supernatural AU with @nightmares06, in which we had him captured by the Hellhounds Ed and Harry, and subsequently hotboxed in their RV. He has asthma. Don't smoke around him.
I suppose so far the worst thing I've ever written for Bobby was getting possessed by a demon in a different Supernatural AU with nightmares06. What can we say, we put everyone through some stuff! No one is safe.
19. How does your OC behave when enraged?
I almost can't imagine Chase enraged? I don't think I'll know until I have occasion to write it. Bobby gets very entitled and myopic.
23. What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express?
They're young men who grew up in the US. The world around them has given them all the wrong lessons for how to process and express sadness. It's one thing to say they know "Boys don't cry" is bullshit, it's another to live by it. Luckily they have Jacob around, who is a really good example for how to process and express emotions.
25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?
Chase is a total goober with a knack for talking himself into and sometimes out of trouble. I never know what I'm gonna come up with for him next lol.
Bobby's not one of my favorite OCs, but he at least isn't as one dimensional as I used to think. He's insufferable in some ways and always has a strong chance of making the exact wrong decision, but he can learn.
Epidemic of the Mannequins
(Story 6 of the Brothers Lost series and the beginning of Season Two)
Cowritten by @nightmares06 and @neonthewrite
Chase Lisong never expected to be involved in such an exciting line of work. Ever since he discovered that borrowers exist and his best friend Jacob had two very small brothers bossing him around, it's all felt so new and thrilling.
How can he say no when his best friend needs help on the next case?
Characters: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester, Jacob Andris, Chase Lisong, Bobby Loran and a few special guests to be announced!

@neonthebright tell your giant sons to stop staring, it feels weird. They need some vitamin D instead of being ominous 😭😭😭

Give Chase a boy/girlfriend so that he can finally get a large fries from the McDonald's drive thru!! He deserves it!! 😔🤲🏽
Get some fries and chicken nuggets for Jacob and Bowman(just the fry though) too.
Bobby gets an apple pie with apple juice, as a treat. Just because(let him have something nice for once).
The implication that they won't let you order a large fry from McD's if you're single is really distracting me from the rest of the ask lmao.
But yeah. Chase has dated casually here and there. It never has any bearing on how many fried potatoes he orders. He tends to order a medium though because he's aware of his limits .... sometimes.
If Bowman ended up going with this trio to the drive thru, he'd be so antsy waiting to get away from the window so he wouldn't have to hide. And then after that he'd be wary about the meat orders. How dare they.
Bobby offers him a little bit of apple pie. Bowman doesn't accept on principle.
Jacob would count them all lucky Bowman doesn't get into trouble somehow. Do not go flying into that drive thru window, bud. That's no place for a sprite. Also how are they going to explain that to literally anybody? No, just hide in the car it's not that long a wait.
New year lesson go!! Can we do why our faves are problematic again?? Can you say why Bobby is problematic?
👁👄👁
Rich, straight white man - these by themselves don't mean everything but they sure have affected the way he acts in some ways. He's never really had to consider minority issues except as something that happens to other people. He's always represented, so it doesn't immediately occur to him why that's important for others.
Not to say he doesn't understand these things, though. Depending on the story, he can learn to be better about thinking outside his sheltered bubble. He is a little jerk of a teenager, but he's not like ... radicalized by default. Most people can in fact unlearn some of the thought patterns trained into them by society, and while Bobby has a lot to unpack, the suitcase isn't locked.
Specific to GT, he doesn't immediately see smol folk as equal to humans. Very problematic and something he needs to be corrected on (sometimes with a really good bop on the head).
Hey, what if Bobby was the small one for a change? How would he react around his friends?
How would he take it being so small? Would he lose some of his confidence or would it stay the same? :0
Gosh, having Bobby as the little guy would mess with him for sure. I can think of three general scenarios here:
1: He's always been small (some kind of AU in which he's borrower/sprite sized for some reason). In that case he'd assume the worst about any normal sized person he encountered, and he'd avoid them the best he could. If caught, he honestly wouldn't fight very much, if only because he'd probably just dramatically give up. What's he gonna do against someone so big? They clearly have all the power and he has none of it and yes, it stings. At least his friends would both try to reassure him that he's fine, he's being dramatic. They'll figure this out, they promise! And meanwhile, he grumps.
2: He's been reduced in size for some reason (spirit shenanigans? SPN crossover shenanigans? Other? There are many ways to shrinkydink a man). In that case he'd FREAK. He would not handle it well, and he'd try to talk a big game but it wouldn't hold up much at all (he doesn't have nearly as much bravado as he'd like everyone to think). There'd be a lot of scurrying away, attempts to warn someone off grabbing him, etc. But he'd be terrified of someone treating him like, well, the toy sized thing he is. Probably because he knows he wouldn't be very nice in the reverse scenario (he wouldn't hurt his friends, but he'd definitely give them more of a hard time than is fair).
3: He's human sized and there's a giant for whatever reason. In that case, his whole mental hierarchy is out the window. Who's in charge? Well probably not Bobby anymore, not with a ding dang giant looming over everyone! He will, again, talk a big game, but he'd be twitchy because he knows a giant could easily overrule him. He really doesn't like uncertainty, and having a giant around is definitely Unpredictable.
