So if I do host an aduIt Death Note free-for-all event it will probably be in the first week of November to coincide with L's death day.

When I say free-for-all, I mean free-for-all. Anything goes, as long as it's all fiction. There are other aduIt-centered Death Note writing challenges/prompt months if you are uncomfy with that. No judgement if you don't like the idea of this event but I won't be entertaining any complaints either.

Finally, you have to be eighteen years or older to participate.

[Light/Dark] Academia Meetup Proposal: Brunch on Governors Island (NY area)

Greetings,

I recently took a trip to Govenors Island for a festival. The island is home to several abandoned buildings, as well the remains of a college, rotating art exhibits, and (gasp!) a Castle*!

Possible activities for a day trip:

Reading on the lawn

Picnic with your peers

Sketching the architecture

Poetry readings on Outlook Hill

Visiting the art center

Several workshops will be taking place on the island throughout September and October. Please see their site for more details!

This won't be an official event of any sort, but if anyone is interested I'm planning on making a commemorative button pin. Tentative date is October 12th.
