I was inspired most by...
Today is gonna be a Good Day!
You will know if peace is genuine in the midst of conflict. Peace in non-conflict conditions is just quietness. We all want peace but not trials or conflict. But if you really want to test if you have real peace, it goes through the crucible of conflict and tested through trials.

As the Seasons Change
If any of you understood how happy I am with my life right now and how everything that was once complicated has seemed to work out for me, you'd think I was crazy. But I really am just that happy with the choices I've made which have led me to where I am now! I have a great group of true Halifax friends, a continuously flourishing relationship with Joe, 7 months left of my degree, 9 months left in my small and overpriced apartment (can't wait to get out into a bigger, nicer and cheaper place!), my quest to get in better shape (33 pounds to date!), a visit to Montreal in Nov, a trip overseas next summer, and debts are starting to get paid off!  Almost done paying one credit card off, then it's on to the next, and then I can finally start tackling the student loans. Hoping to have both the cards paid off by graduation time, and with the rate I'm going, it's very possible. I knew school was going to be expensive, although I never really anticipated this much debt but because of it, I'll know how much that piece of paper cost me when I walk across the stage at Convocation in May, and I'll also remember how much work I had to put in to help pay for it. For the amount of times I've just broken down in tears due to financial stresses (all stemming from the cost of a good education), gone without sleep, sacrificed plans for school and went without even the most basic necessities, every last dire moment was worth what I'll be rewarded in May. I know it's just a B.A., but it's what I worked for and I'm proud of myself.
Changes. That's what my journey through my education has been about. 2011 has brought some of the most positive changes in my life than ever before and I'm thankful for every last one. I've worked hard in both my academic and social life and I'm happy with where my decisions have landed me. I truly think change is the best thing for a person, and I find it frustrating when people object to it. Leave your hometown, make new friends, try something new, volunteer somewhere, befriend someone you never thought you'd have anything in common with, get rid of all the negative aspects in your life and just focus on yourself, but please, please don't be selfish. I truly believe in karma and it will catch up to you, even in the most obscure ways.
To all of you who have been part of these positive changes this past year, thank you so much. You know who you are and you know if this applies to you. I'm excited to have you all a part of this journey and it's because of you that I've been able to get where I am. I wish everyone in this world was as great as you guys.  Â
