Coming up with fashion for my fantasy setting is very fun; when witch hunting got bad in the 16th century, witches all over Britain and Ireland fled to the magical realm. Theoretically, never to return. But human witches can't resist popping their heads back through every now and then to see what's happening, it's even a right of passage to go on an illegal Human World jaunt in your final school year. Consequently, fashion gets weird

Here's a sad Con because today's been a hormonal one

I did this sketch of Connor's Uncle Douglas (and his familiar Jemima) while thinking about his life and backstory.

Because I'm physically incapable of writing a story with no detectives, he's the closest thing this world has to a detective. But because it's a magical world that sort of split from our world hundreds of years ago, his job title is actually Knight.

The thing I love about that is how far from the traditional knight image he is in my head. He's always wearing wooly jumpers and scarves, he's got a big belly and he's generally quite unfit.

Basically he's the sweetest character in the whole book. He's warm and supportive and just a natural Dad, even if he's technically Connor's uncle.
