Porter Ray, Hella Maze & the Flagrant Few & special guest Adam Wilson-Thomas are gearing up to rock Barboza on Capital Hill this Sunday February the 9th 2014 @8pm
Barboza Seattle has announced they plan to bring local talents Porter Ray & Hella Maze along with Adam Wilson-Thomas and the Flagrant Few to their venue for one night only. This Sunday February the 9th at 8pm the doors will open for a party to remember. Originally planned as the record release party for the joint Flagrant Few and Hella Maze album titled the “Break Up”, it has quickly grown into a showcase for two of the cities top talents.
Porters Ray has been getting a lot of buzz around the city since the release of his ep’s Black/White gold. Since then he’s been busy opening up forenames like Killer Mike and Mobb Deep, and featuring with Seattle underground hip-hop mainstays like the Physics. This will be his first show as a headliner, and promises it will be one to remember.
Adam Wilson-Thomas on the other-hand is arguably the most talented singer in the Puget Sound area. If you’ve heard him live, or heard his features on the Hella Maze Writer’s Block album you already know what I mean. On songs like All Night, On Another Level and Curtains you can hear him flex his melodic muscles using his smooth R&B style reminiscent of soul singers of years past.
Recently, Hella Maze who has performed with acts such as Gabriel Teadoros, Thaddeus David, Macklemore, Knowmads and many more; headlined an epic show at Lofi performance gallery on January 19th, that featured a slew of local hip-hop acts. This was only Hella’s second show since releasing the Writer’s Block album, which introduced both the Flagrant Few and Adam to the world. 5000 plus downloads later the digital bandcamp.com release is starting to garner respect as a true classic for both it’s lyrical and production quality.
Seattle music fans have been waiting for a show like this, that features local heavy-weights in the world of Hip Hop. If you like good music or performers, this is a “can’t miss” type of show!
Doors open at 8pm, and the show begins at 9. Tickets are $7 and available @ http://thebarboza.com/tickets/ and http://thebarboza.com/event/porter-ray/
