   ❝     ——–     𝐈 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐈𝐓 𝐎𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐃,     ❞     a defiant beginning to her speech,  despite her quite obvious exertion.  for her brow is knotted and troubled,  her cheeks inked a flush pink.  above them,  the sky is still a cacophony of brilliant shades     ;     𝚟𝚒𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚛𝚎𝚍,  𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚎,  𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚝𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝚢𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚠 𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚣𝚘𝚗.  her attention isn’t paid to this wondrous sight.  no     ——–     instead,  her eyes are squeezed tightly shut,  willing away repeated tides of nausea.  (  it’s early,  and perhaps she indulged in more glasses of wine than advisable the night before their venture into the 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬.  )     ❝     ...   that if i ever come up with stupid ideas about us going out for a morning hike ever again,  you have total permission to stop me right then and there.  i knew there would be a lot of climin’     ——–     𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚒𝚜 𝚛𝚒𝚍𝚒𝚌𝚞𝚕𝚘𝚞𝚜.     ❞     she pants heavily,  and swings for several seconds on the water she’s been embracing for much of the journey.  still,  𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫,  and lets her gaze finally journey up,  skimming the stark silhouettes of mountainous trees.     ❝     ...   well,  that makes it a little more worth the pain.     ❞

“don’t start caring about me now.”

It is not common to see Carmen tense. Even as she sits in a composed state, she wrings her hands together, absentmindedly picking at her nails . “You know I hate asking for favors...” and she hesitates, pausing so that she might take in a deeper breath of air and expel it with all her worries. For she was too keenly aware that several months (now numbering close to an year) had passed since she had last met with her friend. Worse, in the interval that marked her absence they had not managed to maintain contact. So that now, she felt the weight of unspoken words holding her back from going forward. “...but I trust you, you who are a beloved friend.” She shoots him a soft smile, another pause, as she tries to find the right words--how many people had stopped by his door to ask for a favor? Surely he had had his deal of untoward prepositions... “I’m not asking for resources or anything valuable, rather I’m looking for you to look after something...or rather someone.” Finally, she reaches into her coat, pulling out a small, white kitten out of one of her pockets. It looks startled, half asleep, as she hold it in the palms of her hands. “Found her last night, and well, I should be out of here sometime tomorrow and really can’t take her with me ---BUT I didn’t want to leave her with just anybody.”

        ❝  we are so winning this costume contest. ❞          she did another twirl in the mirror, admiring the FINAL RESULT of a costume she had worked tirelessly on in between recording sessions, interviews, and other activities. and now it was finally done! hollywood took halloween costume contests incredibly serious. the parties were all the rage; the press turned out, seeking to compile a best and worst dressed, and sansa had no intention of ending up on the latter. she suspected simeon felt the same. thankfully that looked less and less likely; their costumes were going to take the city by storm.
