Family dinner? Not really. Or is it?
@dragonsstolethephonebox @skydramawalker (whom I can’t tag for some reason?), we have been talking about this, now here’s a thing my brain spat out last week:
"Hey, Taka, can I have seconds?" Kylo lifted his plate, to Mitakas mild amusement and Hux' annoyance, with the Force.
"Sure, here you go, Kylo." But before Mitaka could scoop another portion of Gulàsz onto Kylos plate Hux interrupted with a nearly too loud "Me too, please!" And into the direction of the Supreme Leader "You forgot the 'please' you nerfherder."
"Oh yeah? And you forgot that your plate is still half-full, Huxy."
"Well, unlike you, I actually do need to eat more. The medics said that too." On this Ren slammed one hand on the table and threw the other in an accusatory gesture towards Hux "Are you calling me fat now?!?"
Rodinon only shook his head in disbelief and grumbled "How can you even put up with these two overgrown kids, Bro?"
Mitaka just sighed in exhaustion over his two superior's constant fighting and bickering.
How did it even come to this? All Mitaka did was being nice to them, and now they’re essentially clinging to his coattails, or rather, since he's currently wearing an apron, to his "apron strings". As if he was their mother.
Yeah sure, the mother to two giants of who one is eight years his senior and the other one being three and a half years his senior.
Initially, only Hux and Rodinon, who wouldn't let Mitaka be alone with Hux under any circumstance, would be there to eat Mitakas cooking, back then they'd be in the Generals quarters, but after some time, Mitaka thought that Ren must feel quite lonely and suggested that he joined them too. And since Hux wouldn't let Ren into his quarters, but also wouldn't agree to go to Rens quarters, one of the currently unused high guest quarters was used a sort of neutral meeting ground, where Mitaka could cook the meals they'd then take together.
Currently, the modus operandi would be that after their shift, Lieutenant Mitaka, his best friend Lieutenant Rodinon, General Hux and Supreme Leader Ren would eat together, and when Phasma has finished her patrols, she would then eat alone. Mitaka had asked why she wouldn't just take dinner together with them, but Hux said that she doesn't want to show her face to anyone, so he didn't press further.
