Also some facts about Friesians (which is the breed I drew):

-breed originated from Friesland in the Netherlands

-purebred Friesians are almost exclusively black, and have lots of feathering on their lower legs

-in the breeds history, they were used as warhorses.

-friesians are descended from medieval European "Great Horses" which were used to carry knights in heavy armor during the Crusades.

-the breed almost went extinct before dedicated breeding registries saved them from disappearing

-friesians are used today for dressage, competitive driving, normal/non-competitive riding, and films

The heatwave this past week has been horrible. Especially for the mares who are very moody (and pregnant), which definitely doesn't make the situation better. The get hosed down daily, but still they get on each other's nerves. Especially Maria and Betty. Princess seems to keep in the background, which I honestly think is very wise of her.
