GEM AU WHERE AHIRU GET'S HER GEM CRACKED AND FAKIR LOSES HIS SHIT OVER HER 8D.
Imagine Ahiru’s form becoming increasingly unstable and she starts transforming without control, or she can’t speak properly, and Fakir just bugs out. Oh my gosh, imagine if she just pulled a Pearl and “poof”–Fakir watches her revert into her gem.
Fakir would literally flip his ever-loving shit. He’d carry her gem with him everywhere, not letting anybody touch it while trying to figure out how to heal the crack in it. Mytho and Rue grow really worried over him because all he does is sit in his temple room and read and try to find a way to fix her gem. He doesn’t rest, doesn’t do anything but work tirelessly to try and heal her gem. His powers in healing are limited at best, and he gets extremely frustrated at his own uselessness. If they were back home, there would be no problem healing her, he knows–Tutu herself was amazing at healing others, but Ahiru is still an amateur with her powers. Healing herself would be far beyond her abilities right now, and goodness knows how unstable she’ll be once she regenerates.
After almost two weeks of near-isolation he finally comes out and Rue confronts him, saying to give it time for her to come back and then they can figure out where to go from there. Fakir, of course, refuses, and Rue snaps at him because he’s worrying Mytho. But Fakir goes off on her in turn over how she must not care very much about her supposed “best friend”, and the two have a blowout fight. Lots of things end up getting wrecked, the beach is terminated around the temple, and it takes Mytho physically prying the two apart before they stop.
Fakir would then shove Ahiru’s gem into Rue’s hands, and then isolates himself completely after that until she regenerates.
