(Finally getting around to responding to the responses to me finishing TAZ!! Took me long enough but itās been a very busy week for me)Ā
poolnareff replied to your post āIāve got some news here that I know at least a few of my followers...ā i felt the same way about the finale, i was so proud of myself because i looked at the time and there were only 15 mins left and i had stayed strong and not cried once. and then griffin has that line and i sobbed the whole way until the end. especially since you could hear travis sniffing in the background as well
I love crying so I was hoping to cry and I went through the finale allĀ āwtf this isnāt nearly as emotional as it was hyped up to beā so I was relieved, relieved and dripping snot and tears, when it hit that point.Ā
aeoneonĀ replied to your post āIāve got some news here that I know at least a few of my followers...ā The best interlude gag for me was when Taako blinks and switches Leon's candy for the token and Leon just breaks down crying over them not wanting to do the gachapon correctly
God a bunch of those were great. One of the things I really liked about the dynamics in TAZ was how the Tres Horny Boys would just like... do things or make things up that would become defining character traits of the NPCs in the game. Their fucking refusal to just put the goddamn token in the goddamn machine was fucking hilarious and wound up defining Leonās entire character. Jenkins and his spell slots. Graham the Juicy Wizard. Boyland and his 400 sons and 13 daughters. Griffin would introduce these characters and then the boys would just dick relentlessly at them and it was so fucking funny. Iāve been thinking about this because just through the sheer hilarity of the stuff they would come up with or do to these characters it would actually change the characters defining traits. I really liked that.Ā
luffy-the-hokage said to grass-skirt: AAAA!!! I love that you enjoyed TAZ! I also agree on most parts with you ^^ Btw you probably know, but if you want to experience awesome key moments again, you should check out some of the amazing animations of them out there :)
Iāve been scavenging around on tumblr in my free time finding fanart of the show i like, and that includes plenty of the animations. Iām also tempted to relisten to part of the show but I think Iāll resist and do that in a couple yearsĀ
half-man-half-lime replied to your post āIāve got some news here that I know at least a few of my followers...ā I share your feelings on the characterization for Taako, Magnus and Merle. It was all done really well. It kind of feels like THE popular D&D story of our time.
I know nothing about D&D despite my friends playing it and itās wild to me that the idea that TAZ isĀ ātheā D&D story of our time implies that there are other D&D stories that areĀ ātheā D&D story of other peopleās times and thatās just wild. Imagine the defining D&D story of the 70s. I canāt begin to fathom it, nor do I want to. Just the vague awareness of its possible existence is more than enough.Ā
