Place the 9 ball: Place the 9 ball in the center of the triangle, directly over the foot spot.
Remove the racking triangle: Carefully lift the racking triangle off the table, leaving the 15 balls arranged in a triangle shape.
Break the rack: The player who breaks the rack should aim to hit the balls in the center of the triangle, spreading them out across the table.
