You're running from something, holding a bundle in your hands. You don't stop running even when you enter a lavishly decorated room and turn back to see no one behind you.
You drop the bundle in your hands, it falls to the floor with a low thud. The cloth spills across the cherry-red tiles in a sea of blue. There's a buzzing sensation on the back of your head, an itch with no name nor face but a domineering presence for something something SOMETHING-
You reach your hands to the back of your head and scratch.
Fingers harshly pulling out bits of hair turn into clumps, nails raked across the scalp as the itch subsides but in its place a burning, agonising pain that grows higher and higher the more you scratch that itch away.
There's something wet on your hands, it feels sticky.
You start to cry, tears pouring from your eyes as screams tore itself out of your throat. Is it a scream of fear or pain you do not know, all you can feel is that burning pain and that tingling, mind-numbing itch to scratch out your head and go for the brain, then scratch out that part as well until nothing remains.
Your hands continue to move even when you scream to stop. You hear the sick, squelching sound behind your ears through the agony and the pain. Your hands clung to a squishy clump of something and pulled.
You scream the loudest here, it resembles a dying animal releasing it's final energy to try and run yet the hunter has a gun in their hands to stop it.
Something falls to the floor, louder than the bundle you were holding previously yet more softer, more heavier.
You wake up. Less than an hour has passed since you went to bed. You can't go back to sleep, the dream is still a vivid expirience playing out in your mind.
There's still a tingling sensation on the back of your head.
