Since our arrival to the surface world, many people of Ravnica have reached out to us, the New Simic, with curiosity (if not caution). Some have even reached out to us who are not of Ravnica, as strange as it may seem. The hows and whys are of little import to guildmages such as yourself, but the Speaker's Chamber has allowed the distribution of the following information that has be gleaned from our contact:

They spoke of a world with Great Wilds, where nature thrives and the inhabitants hunt with spears, not swords or the mechanical monstrosities like those of the Izzet and Boros.

Nature has done many wondrous things there. Evolution sweeps through the canopies, lingers in the moss and soil, soars into the air and fills the lungs of those who would embrace it. Change is not just constant--it is mighty.

And it is this very change that has brought about a grand adaptation--a beastial creature whose very DNA is in a constant flux. Thanks to it's unique biochemical make-up, this creature strives for life even in death. Should it perish, this behemoth thunders back alive, roaring again into the world.

It is called the thragtusk. And it has taught us much.

For, though nature is a mighty force, there is much to be improved. Our other-worldly informant has brought us a sample of the creature's DNA, allowing the researchers of Zonot Four to make astounding advancements in weaponization of biochemical matter.

Through careful mutanization of the thragtusk's biomatter, Simic Biomancers have developed magic that will show the true might of the Simic to the world. This thragtusk has shown us new pathways through the DNA of living beings.

And what was once a simple regeneration has been mutated--evolved. It is now a forcible krasis spell that will pongify those that would threaten the Simic.

May all Simic share in this knowledge. Use it. Take strength in this creature's Holdfast. But, most importantly, remember the Upwelling, and spread the essence of our guild across the land.
