POND TASK 1 [ first I made a unsplash collection for jaime’s house here ]
His High School Art Collection. That’s making it sound cooler than it is. Really it’s just a few paintings he created while he was still in High School learning what painting actually is, and what art really can be. It’s pretty terrible. But Jaime has a sentimental attachment to the art he created in high school because it was the first art he ever really created. It was the first time he ever really felt like he LIKED something. So, while he looks back at what he painted, or drew, or whatever back in his high school art class it might at times give him second hand embarrassment but he really loves it. It holds a special place in his heart. He might be better at it all now, but there is something about the joy he found in just painting something absolutely fucking terrible back then.
His Guitar. Can Jaime play the guitar? ... Kind of. Does he like to play the guitar? Yeah! He’s not good at it, he’ll be the first one to say that. And it’s not something he does in front of people. Not a lot of people anyway. He’s not embarrassed to play with others around. But for the most part he just kind of likes sitting down alone and strumming out something that vaguely sounds like music. His Nanny bought him the guitar when he was in high school. it was something he said he might be interested in, so she took him to a music store and they got one. He also has an electric guitar which he bought himself just because it seemed like it’d be cool. That one he plays less often. It sort of just sits in his room making it look like he could play if he wanted to .... Don’t be fooled.
The Souvenir Wall. Jaime’s always been able to do a lot of traveling, moving to Oxford is not exactly the first time he’s been out of the country. He’s gone on vacation with his parents every summer since he was a child. There are a lot of souvenir’s he has from those trips, but this wall is mostly taken up with things he’s collected on school trips he’s taken with the other Big Fish. Things from museums, from plays, post cards, awards, news paper clippings, and many many photos of them through out the years. Trips he took for school always were way more fun to him than the vacations he had with his parents, despite the fact that he could go where ever he wanted to. He’d kind of always rather would have been with his friends.
