Do the other city-states/countries have languages and they all just speak Insomnian because it's the trade language? Accordo's language (haha Accordian) probably sounds like a mix of Italian and French. Niffleheim's is probably Germanic. Maybe Anglo-German. They steal words from culture's they've conquered (hi, English!) and if that fails, string enough of their own words together to make a new word. If both of those fail, I'm kind of thinking that they are like Romans where if they don't have the words for it, they'll just slip into a foreign language for a bit. (Romans spoke about philosophy in Greek because fuck polluting Latin with flowery, pretty words if there is already another language for it). Tenebraean is tough. We don't really get a good grasp on their culture for the 3 seconds we are there, nor from the snippets of Luna's time there before the Niffleheim invasion. What do you all think?
