“Brother, you should try the strawberry and chocolate parfait they serve here. It tastes fantastic, super light on your tongue but full of flavor. I can probably eat four just by myself it’s that good.”

Her eyes lit up in excitement above the rim of her menu. Gripping it tightly in her hands, she scanned over the modest item list. Around their booth customers chatted gaily, clinking their glasses, forks, and knives. They sipped from well kept cups, a few of the older ones stealing glances at the asses of passing waiters and waitresses. Slipping shyly into the din came the whirling of the dutiful ceiling fans. She pleasantly hummed, her attention dashing down into the pit of temptation that comprised the remaining desserts. Cheesecakes, truffles, pies, puddings- her mouth watered as a thin stream of drool teetered dangerously from her lips. A frenzied desperation clawed into her voice.

“H-Hey maybe we could try every one of the sweets.”
