Because I haven’t touched my Mac all weekend I didn’t post this here yesterday like I did on twitter, but here’s the final version of my A2 gift art piece! I was lucky enough to get in line early for a signing with Adam Croasdell yesterday at Pomex, where I could hand it over <3!
I spent about ~65 hours total on this (from 8th August to 19th Sept, so not all at once!) and decided to work with a change on a classic: I am a coloured pencil artist, for the most part, so I decided I would experiment with prismacolours for the first time! I can honestly say by the end of it I really enjoyed them as a new thing in my ‘armiger’ of art supplies, even though I had a few ups and downs! A few WIP iPhone shots have been compiled below (including an earlier version of Glaive Ignis’s face before I decided mid-colouring the eyes that I wanted to change it!):
The general idea behind this was to reflect on how much Episode Ignis means to me. I’ve been playing FF games since I was 7/8 years old (FF7 was the first video game I remember playing solo), and it’s a series that has always been pretty significant in my life, but I’ve never really had a favourite character before Ignis. I could gush forever about how dedicated and brave he is, and yet how human, but if you follow me, odds are you probably all feel the same or similar! So simply put, I would never have felt the inspiration to return to improving my art or to share it again were it not for Ignis, and for the wonderful work Adam did in bringing his character to life. So on that note, I decided to showcase the part of the game where it clicked for me that there would never be another like Ignis - his masterpiece DLC <3
KupoCon was so amazing! I am so happy I went! Unfortunately the contacts I bought were very bad. But they did NOT ruin this perfect perfect perfect day!

I told Ray that his work as Noctis meant a lot to me and he made me cry so much towards the end of the game and that bugger wrote the saddest quote with his signature! T-T
Quinton was really sad about the Reno recast in the FF7 remake. We all told him how sorry we were that this happened to him and he gave us a big hug. He hadn’t been told about the recast and only found out when the latest trailer was revealed. They could have at least gave him a heads up.
Ali was so sweet and damn if I weren’t gay before, hearing her doing lightning’s voice would have been enough to awaken something, haha!
Adam was really nice, he seemed impressed with Moomba! He took some time to chat to me and my friends during the evening event as well which was rather lovely of him!
Nicholas seemed rather chuffed that I knew him as Hawke and since his line was a little quiet when I was there we had a little chat and he done a few of Hawke’s lines. That was really cool~ uvu!

New prints that are in progress for Kupocon Pomex. I hope to have at least one female protagonist from each games 6-15!
I had such a blast at Kupocon today, I was so blessed to see so many great cosplayers and talented artists drawing some of my favourite series. With @yukapants (on Instagram, Twitter and Tiktok), my loveliest Lalafell assistant, we made a lot of friends and met up with old ones and, thankfully, got some decent sales!! My babby artist heart is so full.... Thank you so much to everyone who dropped by. It was fantastic to attend a con with such a good community atmosphere and just a bunch of lovely people attending tbh. Definitely gonna be there next year with more stuff, so if you’re in the UK and like FF, I highly recommend this con~Â
