I know you did cuddly reader x poly jackets but like I need slow forming puppy pile. Like they all sleep on the cabin floor and slowly over time just sleep in a pile to keep warm. That pile slowly turns into a means for everyone to touch/ hold on to reader in their sleep so they know she's safe when they wake up.

It’s way too cold. The Canadian wilderness is unforgiving during the winter especially, and crashing without proper gear is deadly.
Thankfully the group had made it a top priority to skin their kills and make blankets and wraps to join their few fraying airplane quilts.
But no matter how close you slept to the fire or how many rabbit fur blankets you wrapped around yourself, the cold still crept through with icicle claws.
And it wasn’t something to take lightly. Being too cold at night could lead to sickness which could easily lead to death in a place without doctors or medicine.
The group had to do something. Not everybody could cuddle up next to the fire without pushing someone out of the way and into the cold corner of the cabin. And there already weren’t enough blankets to go around. Rabbits were becoming scarce near the hunting trails, and they’d only caught one bear that they’d been able to skin.
Nobody ever decided to climb into a big pile all at once out loud. It just happened one very frigid night.
You attempted to sleep, huddled in your rabbit blanket with Taissa and Van. The three of you had won the card draw for the day that decided who would get the coveted blanket for the night.
The three of you were practically on top of each other. Van spooned Taissa, her leg laying atop hers, while Taissa wrapped her entire body around yours, arms tightening on your back, head laying on your shoulder.
Nat had been watching, shivering behind the three of you. Jealousy gnawed at her grumbling stomach. It wasn’t just a draw for the blanket, although nobody wanted to admit it. It was a draw for *you*. Who got to spend the night cuddled around your warmth, smiling into your skin, keeping you safe. And Nat *really* wanted to win it. And she swears that Van’s messing with the cards. It’s the third time *this week* that she’s gotten to sleep beside you in that damn blanket!
So Nat, emboldened and freezing, picks up her frayed airplane blanket that’s barely even capable of holding warmth and shuffles over.
There’s an empty space on your right side, your left being taken over by Tai and Van, so she lays down silently, shoulders touching, and cuddles into your side.
Your eyes creak open, and you’re met with her proud grin. “What are you doing?” You whisper, scared to wake Taissa and Van and have a fight break out over rules being broken.
“I’m cold,” is all she said with a shrug. “The draw is for the blanket. I’m not under the blanket.”
She was proud of herself with that loophole and of course, there were listening ears all around the cabin that mentally nodded in agreement.
Misty was the next one to amble over, laying horizontally at your feet. The orange glow of the fire crackled over her frizzy hair. Fluffing her pillow, she turned and fell asleep without another word.
Then came Mari, who pouted at the fact that both of your sides were taken up by shit-eating grinning teammates.
Jackie was right behind Mari, but she wasn’t going to settle for any spot on the end. No. She gently snuck in between entwined legs and layered blankets to tuck herself into the tiniest of tiny spaces between Nat’s and your legs. She ended up kicking Misty out of the way of her own legs, and like a scolded puppy, Misty glowered and shifted down. Nat scowled at Jackie, who had to look up to meet Nat’s glare. “What? There was space,” Jackie shrugged and turned over to hug your blanketed legs to her chest. Nat rolled her eyes, but continued to press her cold nose into your right shoulder.
Then Shauna, who had felt Jackie move beside her and went to investigate, laid her pillow down at the head of the pile. She made sure to position herself so she could run her fingers through your hair.
If you so much as moved a centimeter, your head would either knock into hers, Nat’s, or Tai’s. You were surprised you didn’t feel tied down or held hostage with the way your legs and arms were all being grasped by your teammates, but there was suddenly warmth where there wasn’t, and your eyes could finally start to close.
Taissa had almost completely fallen asleep on top of you at this point, half of her body weighted on your left side. Jackie’s arms were wrapped around your legs, her pillow resting on your hip. Nat’s breath was tickling your neck. Shauna’s fingers were raking through your hair, slowing as she too fell asleep. Misty had even turned over in a drowsy state to lay on top of one of your feet.
It was the first time all winter you’d all slept through the night. Warm and satiated, held close by each other, a silent promise to never let go. And in the morning, when the sun started to rise and everyone usually raced to get up and get warm in the light, everyone stayed bundled up in each other, begging not to move, begging to stay.
This became the norm over time, with others joining in. Suddenly, the card drawing wasn’t for the blanket, but who got to cuddle into your sides at night. Even Travis put in his name in the draw and had won it a couple times. He always slept with you pressed into his chest, arms holding you close to his heart.
The girls kept a scorecard of how many times they’d won. It was Van at first, but after Jackie accused her of cheating, she was disqualified from the drawing for a whole week. And in that one week, Nat and Shauna rose to the top of the rankings, both immensely proud.
It was all an excuse - and a good one at that - to get close to you, to keep you safe and warm and healthy. And nobody complained, maybe except for Jackie when she hadn’t won in over a week, and when they saw you gently close your eyes in uninterrupted sleep, it was all worth it.
