(Thank you for the prompt! ^_^ Sorry for the delay, finals season hit and then I wanted to prioritize thread replies. Send A Number to Experience One of My Museâs Memories.)
âAre you sure you didnât rig this?â Azi questioned, peering suspiciously between Phosa, the deck, and his own hand of cards.
âOf course Iâm sure!â Phosa snapped, bristling a bit. âShouldnât you be asking Piper? Itâs Piperâs game.â
âRelax. Azi is joked,â Chip said. She smiled at Phosa when Phosa looked up at her, then looked back to her communication device, proofreading before confirming the next sentences now that she had Phosaâs attention and the time to do so. While she waited for Chip to finish, Phosa flipped over the next card, beginning her own turn. âJoking, I mean. Azi just means, you are doing well, and Azi has had bad luck. He is poking fun at the bad luck.â
âOkay.â Phosa relaxed, glancing at Aziâs character and snorting softly. âYou are having some problems, arenât you. Sorry.â She turned back to her own move, slowly reading the card and comparing it to her own hand. Thankfully, she was better at numbers than reading, so that part went quickly. âOkay.  Unless anybodyâs gonna throw something at meââ
âI backstab you,â Chip interrupted. Phosa stopped, sighed, and glared at the cat, who was snickering softly.
âYou little fucker. I trusted you.âÂ
âThis game is strange,â Azi observed, as Phosa shoved playfully at Chipâs head before finishing her own turn. âAnd it goes on forever.â
âItâs an earth nerd classic!â Piper corrected archly. ââŚsort of. Okay, not really, there are plenty of critics. But I enjoy it, anyway, I had to make you guys play it at least once. Besides, itâs good reading practice for Phosa.â
âSure. The missing words are especially helpful,â Phosa said, rolling her eyes. âAlso all the, ahâcultural? The cultural things I donât get.â
âThis one might have been a miss, cultural ambassador,â Azi chuckled, patting Piper on the shoulder.
ââŚYouâre just saying that because youâre losing.â
