Rest in peace, Azrael Riego.
Or Azi, as we on AO3 call her.
Azi was a brilliant writer. When you find words that someone else has written but which seem to echo from inside your own mind, you know you've found something special. Azi's stories have made me laugh, cry, yearn and most importantly, get new perspectives on love. The first time I found one of her stories, I remember feeling so ecstatic that I had found yet another brilliant author, so much so that I was (am still) pretty sure that she was a published author irl. To find one in the Author's Note of one of her unfinished stories that she is no more is heartbreaking.
My condolences to her family. Her memory will remain, indelibly, in her stories and her words, and especially in the ones that are unfinished.
