Just Dance Scoring + My Feelings
As someone who, for most of his younger life, just played Just Dance for fun? I've STILL not lost that side, and I like that. Around JD18 was when I got into focusing on the scoring aspects as well (Despacito being where that really started for me), but I still learned to play for fun...
Now here I am, over a year after I got my very first 13K... (for context, you get Superstar rank with 11,000 or higher, Megastar with 12,000 or higher, and 13,000 or higher (with max score being 13,333) not actually having a TRUE rank, but some competitive players push for it!) 379 13Ks total, and still going...
And I'll be honest: I'm proud of that. No, this is not going to be me flexing on my own scores, but I want to get something out: Be proud of what you score.
I know people who only get scores of anywhere from 5 Stars to Megastars and are completely happy with it, and I"m happy for them!
On the other side of things, I know several AMAZINGLY GOOD JD players who have got incredibly good scores on all KINDS of routines, 13King everything including INCREDIBLY broken routines like Taste The Feeling or That's The Way (I Like It) to just name a few. And again, I think they're doing amazing as well!
But, I've had moments recently, especially during this new event with Part Of Me and Circus Extreme returning to Plus, where I barely 13Kd Part Of Me and am still totally stuck on Circus Extreme, while these other incredibly good players are out here getting 13Ks left and right on them, where I just feel like it's a skill issue. And then I realized: it doesn't have to be like that. Look at what YOU want to get, appreciate what you've done and what makes you happy to get.
At the end of the day, it's how you want to play Just Dance and what brings you joy that matters. Keep on getting those great scores, from 5 stars to 13Ks and everything in between!
