Sort of a different ship topic today but I find it so interesting how popular Ralsusie is here compared to like every other site. You'd usually see stuff like Kralsei or Suselle or Kerdly which you do find here, however recently there's been A TON OF RALSUSIE. I it might be that people like Daedelweiss or Ammi-delta-document have made it more popular (both absolutely peak artists btw who you should follow and support) and people who use Tumblr just really see the appeal and barely anyone outside of our little hole does, but either way I began to get the peak known as Ralsusie SO LONG AGO and I am glad it's finally rising up (alongside TFem Ralsei because both seem to coexist very often.)

I absolutely ADORED Nyaâs characterization this part (though Iâm not sure why she couldnât wrap her head around no memories + shattered goodness = completely different person. Maybe she was in denial, and tbh I wouldâve been too) in the beginning it was the most fun her character has been in YEARS and I lovelovelove it :) The way she tried uplifting Lloyd?? Hello?? And the duo time we HAD with her and Jay? And her maybe sort of getting through to Jay?? SNAWJAIMAJAJAYGAHQNAKSYAU Weâre getting so much Nya and Lloyd content weâre SWIMMING in it yesyesyesyes BIG OLDER SISTER NYA GO!! Nya SNATCHING the snacks from Kai got a giggle from me Iâm sorry I love whenever sheâs so rough with him and Kaiâs like âwow okayâ AND THE SCENE WHERE SHEâS GETTING HIT BY ZARKTâS POWER?? EXCUSE ME?? THAT ACTUALLY ALMOST SHATTERED ME WHAT. THATâS LIKE THE SECOND TIME, MAYBE MORE, WEâVE SEEN SOMETHING LIKE THAT HAPPEN AND IT HURTS EVERY TIME. AND THE HUG SHE GAVE JAY AWH SHE WAS PRACTICALLY MELTING INTO THE TOUCH I LOVE THEM SM ASJSNWJWJJ Sheâs so tough and determined but also so wise and gentle and understanding and thatâs why I LOVE her Dragons Rising characterization, itâs still that sassy and independent Nya from s1, but itâs also a more mellow version of her who can rely on others time to time. And the entire time, despite her constant complaints, despite her constant doubts, despite EVERYTHING, she STILL clung onto him, because she KNEW Jay, HER Jay, the REAL Jay was still in there. She said sheâd seen glimpses of the old Jay as well, andyshsjiasbsywgayba was that NOT a dead giveaway sheâd continue to try to re-connect with him even after everything she said afterwards?? And him saving her after it just strengthen her determination sishsywbsjsu SHOCKWAVE COME BACK SHOCKWAVE. I love Nya accepting she canât do everything herself, and sometimes she DOES need help, instead of being persistent that she can do it with no one but her. Character development guyz. We love to see it :)

AUGH LEGO MY HEART. AND THE WAY THEY REVERSED COLE AND KAIâS TRAITS?? COLE BEING THE IMPULSIVE ONE AND KAI TRYING TO TALK HIM OUT OF IT?? OSJSYSHSHANAUWHN CINEMA. Brother was slicing and DICING those soul suckers like they owed him MONEY. DID YOU SEE THE WAY HE WAS MOVING?? And Iâm jumping with the utmost HAPPINESS Iâve EVER felt with all the Kai and Nya content weâre getting lately I LOVE THEM SO. Kai being so bouncy and excited when Jay shows up ajahsuwjwi heâs so happy to have his brother back!! KAI AND JAY ARE CLOSE FRIENDS AND YOU WILL NOT CHANGE MY MIND. You can tell heâs trying SO HARD to be important and helpful after the Netherspace and the Land of Monsters and it shows. Heâs trying so hard to be who he used to be and he doesnât get why he canât?? Lego when I catch you LEGO. Heâs like a light bulb that dimmed overtime and has no idea how to be bright again. And the way Kai, the hothead (tm), the one who didnât trust the other 3 in the beginning, was the one trying to keep them together? The one who had to learn to calm his anger, so that it didnât get the best of him, having to do the same thing to the person whoâd helped him realize that very subject? And I mean, you just KNOW thereâs something behind that joke he said to Zane before he left, âcause maybe, he felt like he was being torn away from him again, no matter how stupid that idea in his head was. And Jay, basically his BROTHER-IN-LAW, an entirely different person and Kaiâs treating him no different as if thatâll jog his memory. Donât you just LOVE when the people you donât even know become your closest family then gradually drift away from you so youâre stuck trying to hang onto them?? In that scene with Arin on the Bounty I was fully convinced Lloyd was going to say that Wu was a good teacher, not that great of a person. Wu was like the first positive adult in his life, and I can see why Lloyd holds him so close because he was the first person to actually give LLOYD GARMADON, son of an evil WARLORD, a chance, without ever knowing he was meant to be the Green Ninja. He wants to be like him because really, who ELSE could he WANT to please? Garmadon? Sure, in his purified form, maybe, but after all the things in the Oni Trilogy and Crystallized? I doubt it. Misako? Maybe theyâre on good terms NOW, but leaving your CHILD at a boarding school does a HUGE impact. Itâs a toxic idealization, sure, but can you really blame him? Someone NEEDS to snap him out of his spiral of wanting to be perfect in Wuâs eyes, cause thatâs not going to happen, because everyone knows, INCLUDING WU, he has the potential to be BETTER than he ever was. Now I wanna see what you look like in one they designed for you) They always have each others back, they do EVERYTHING together, theyâll literally DIE for each other oh my goodness theyâre ride or die and I LOVE IT.
Sora was so silly this season, I mean, câmon, messing with Rasâ bike? SILLY. Being sassy to Frak in that cave? SILLY. Being blind asf to Frak liking her? SILLY (she truly is Lloydâs daughter) She joined Arin to help him while being with Ras and ended up getting him out of the situation entirely, and ALSO helping him reunite with his parents. Sheâs sarcastic sure, but sheâs also REALLY sweet if you look closely. She knows what is right and what to do, even if itâs blinded by her own feelings and self-doubt. AND RAS CALLING HER ANA TO DWINDLE HER CONFIDENCE?? WHAT. TO SHOW NO MATTER WHAT SHE DOES OR WHO SHE BECOMES SHEâLL ALWAYS JUST BE AN IMPERIAN?? NOTHING MORE?? RUDE MUCH.
AND ARIN?? HELLO?? MY GUY?? THEY DID SO WELL WITH HIM THIS PART. THE WAY HE HAD TO RECONNECT WITH LLOYD AFTER ALL THE THINGS HEâD DONE AND DOUBTING THEYâD WANT TO SEE HIM AGAIN WHEN HE WAS PROVEN WRONG WHEN HE WAS PRESENTED WITH AN APOLOGY FIRST THING?? Iâm sorry I just LOVE Arin and Lloydâs relationship together itâs so complicated but Arin still cares about Lloyd and doesnât want to disappoint him, whereas Lloyd doesnât want Arin to hate him because, well heâs Lloyd. I was so happy when Arin got reunited with his parents. YAY. ABOUT TIME.
Arin was so genuinely regretful this part itâs WILD. The poor kid just wanted his parents back and got marooned down a rabbit hole that nearly cost him his best friend. And can we acknowledge his spinjitzu? Hello? Thatâs CLEARLY shatterspin remnants? How does no one realize that? Spinjitzu is supposed to be natural, go-with-the-flow typa thing, forcing your way to it is NOT how it SHOULD be learned and will probably come back to hurt you in the long run. I think itâd be great to see Lloyd teaching Arin PROPER Spinjitzu in that rainforest realm, to show Arin REALLY letting go of all the things Ras âtaughtâ him. Arinâs thing isnât brute force, heâs such a sweet kid, itâs the constant criticism and struggle and (I WANT to say projecting from Ras but i know thereâs a better word for it) depreciation (majority from Ras) thatâs wearing him down.
Wyldfyre was great this season. I love her. No comment. I sure hope they donât traumatize her to the point her whole personality is wrecked like another certain red ninja.

(i do feel like the plot couldâve been executed better, and that the cuts were a bit off timed, I mean câmon, as soon as things get interesting in one pov you canât just switch it?? Shockwave DEFINITELY needs work, wdym Nyaâs love is unconditional, but she gets pissed off when Jay isnât the way SHE remembers, and therefore not one of them? Theyâyes THEYâshouldnât pressure him to becoming or REMEMBERING he was a ninja, because thatâs not going to DO anything, what they SHOULD focus on is EVERYTHING but that. Get to know the new Jay and make him feel comfortable so that he can reconnect with them, not just blatant âyour a ninjaâ every sentence you say to him. Thatâs just telling him that if heâs not a ninja, then he really doesnât belong.
Cole and the Finders should have more screen time. They have plot relevance, yet theyâre BARELY in the story? As soon as we THINK weâre getting something with them, they get sidelined, AGAIN.
I feel like the final fight with Thunderfang was a little rushed, as well as Arinâs âIâm quitting the Ninjaâ arc, personally it shouldâve lasted way longer, especially with the fact how LITTLE of Lloyd and Arinâs pov we got after that?? What? They have literally one of the most IMPORTANT roles and we barely see them.
Also what the HELL happened to the wolf clan?? We have established warriors and worshipers of the forbidden five for 2 PARTS and as soon as the Forbidden Five are back in business, theyâre GONE?? Made a new whole race for these losers to corrupt to show how âevilâ they are, but that wasnât necessary because THEY ALREADY HAD PEOPLE DOING THINGS FOR THEM?? YOU CANâT JUST THROW THEM TO SIDE AND NOT SOLVE WHO OR WHAT THEY ARE. DONâT SOLVE ANYTHING ACTUALLY JUST USE THEM??)

Less than two months until Iâm older than my favourite character from a book that changed my life, made me cry so much Iâve lost count, and I have read four times without getting tired of it
The Outsiders is such a powerful story and it makes me feel so seen. It may not be about me specifically, but some of the struggles of the characters are struggles I have as well and I see myself in them so much. It means so much to me and I am so glad I read it.
It is one of my favourite books and it feels so wrong to be getting older than these characters. I first read this book when I was thirteen years old, younger than Ponyboy Curtis, the youngest of the characters. I see them as best friends in a way. Theyâre always there for me, fictional as they may be, and they provide me great comfort. They have helped me through so many hard times in my life, such as school stress, friendship drama, and so much more.
The Outsiders means more to me than I know how to express through words. S.E. Hinton is a phenomenal writer with incredible stories and I am so grateful and honoured to be able to read her amazing work.
So I just discovered and read the entirety of 17776 and WOW. BIG spoilers under the cut and a VERY long discussion ahead
First of all, I was surprised to be greeted with an article style story as a first impression and then further surprised with the bait and switch into the blog style the story is seemingly known for.
Second of all, I looked at everything, obviously. All the pictures and videos, because I was so enamored and eager to understand more. There were a lot of really interesting details, which I'll get into now.
Throughout the story, it's reiterated that people are thousands of years old because they stopped aging. You see that sentiment, and you might think, 'Oh wow, that's interesting.' And move on, because it's just words.
But then there's these score cards with the details (and scores) of a person, with one of the details being the year they were born. I don't think any of them were in the 2000's. And, as the name of the story suggests, the story takes place in the year 17776.
Seeing the actual numbers gave me this hard to explain deep, almost gut sinking sensation. Because I would do the math in my head every single time and sort of pause in horror as I realized just how LONG these people have been conscious and alive. For me, numbers have always meant more than phrases, and this REALLY hit the mark for me.
I think I remember reading something once that said that IF humans had longer lifespans or lived forever, our brain, as it is, would be unable to hold and process all of the information that comes with that. A majority of people forget more of their life the longer they live it, and that's only 80 years of information on average. (Not taking into account infantile amnesia.)
It's impossible to imagine living 197 times our current average lifespan, with that multiplier only increasing since, as it's presented in the story, time is infinite. If you're curious about where I got that number, here's my process:
17776-2026= 15,750 years. 15,750/80â 196.875
round to the nearest whole number= 197
Another thing that really stood out to me was the reiteration of the lack of children. Throughout the story, it's this sort of devastating thing that humanity has come to terms with, almost. I say almost because there was this a segment where this girl was recounting to her boyfriend about a time she was diving in the partially submerged city of New York City and she saw a mural where a mother was holding her infant child. They both got quiet and seemed sad about it and pivoted onto another topic, that being the 500 game (I think? I was too fixated on their reactions to the mural)
Another example of this is when the space probes were talking about the Bee ballroom. JUICE got on the topic of sidewalks and how, now, people just. walk in the middle of the street. JUICE seemed confused as to why sidewalks were needed in the first place until they all remembered: children.
I think my biggest question, besides the obvious one of why humans stopped aging and dying, is why children stopped being a thing. Aging and dying, I understand, those are both things that are commonly eliminated in many stories with sci-fi elements. But children is a new one that really catches my attention because children are how we evolve. They're how we not only develop new physical features but cultural features as well.
Each generation is shaped by the way the previous generation was raised. Without that, there's stagnation, which is exactly what happened in 17776. Humanity has settled into an infinite stalemate due to the lack of change and not needing to worry about the future with the fact they eliminated all of their issues like disease, food, housing, etc.
There's nothing and no one to combat, nothing and nowhere to explore, nothing to learn or discover, just nation-sized, cross-country football games that go on for thousands of years at a time and various other sports, hobbies, and obsolete jobs.
The concept of immortality, especially one this boring, is a terrifying concept to me. If I was told I would live forever from this day forward, I think I'd break down and go crazy. I can barely handle the fraction of the lifespan I've lived already, much less 197 times that with no end in sight.
The way 17776 is presented, progresses, and ends is extremely unique, in my opinion. I don't think I've read anything like it. To anyone who has read this far, first of all, thank you.
