Nikolai wasn’t the most put together young man, but he had one of those children’s comb and fake shaving razor kits when he was a little boy that he would rarely use or even touch unless he knew his father would be coming to visit. He thought if he looked as nice as possible (since Oskar is a very well groomed man) it would make him stay a little longer.

"he’s kinda gone off to do his own thing but he’s more of a morally right person, despite his father’s work and basically having grown up to be thankful for his father and what sacrifices made for them to be where they are now. Oskar regrets not spending as much time with him now, because they had been very very close all while Fred was growing up. He does have similar personality traits to Oskar though, more than Romy and Nik. I can see him to be aggressive, especially when he was younger, but remorseful afterward. He’s independent, and has the same work ethic as Oskar even though he probably wouldn’t do much of the same shady shit. "
