Sgt. Aaron Thompson with emergency services were called in New Harmony, Utah, after reports that the child had fallen in the freezing pond while chasing his dog. Srt. Thompson could not break the ice with his arms to look for the boy, thus he jumped and then pound on it to get it to break, than on his tiptoes, floating in the water up to his neck looked for the boy moving his arms until finding him and pulled his head up above the water and called out to the paramedics. He had found the boy floating beneath the surface about 25ft from the pond's edge. On the latest reports, the boy named Jason, was awake in hospital and recovering.
