my art final
remember how in the beginning we had to do a self portrait? well, this was our final, create another self portrait and then on top of that, create a mask. regarding the portraits, i decided to draw two just for fun and because i couldn't decide how i should have my hair. in the end i ended up going with my hair up. now for the mask, i knew from the start what i wanted to do. the skull and muscles for my love of anatomy and wanting to be a medical illustrator, and all of my characters. every single one of them, i honestly don't know how i was able to fit them all, but i somehow did. i decided to include all of them because at one point they all were me, some with much more resemblance to me than others. you're probably asking right now, "but, what about the rainbows leaking out of the skull, what does that represent?" that my good friends is me coming out as gay. i used my mask to come out to parents yesterday and i am officially out of the closet now.
