Wealthy Lady Knight
"Does polaxe make you happy?' "I'd have to say I'm hooked".
The ensemble of knightly arms. ⚔️⚜️
Decorated (poorly; an artist I am not) my poleaxe, based partially upon an example from the Higgins Armoury Collection in the Museum of Worcester.
Gilded weapons are just such a beautiful aesthetic, with so much more to say than hard minimalism. ⚜️

A student of mine is obtaining a pair of polaxe trainers (rubber head, ash stave), of which one is for me.
So this knight will soon be training and teaching the basics of Fiore's axe. Which shouldn't be too hard, since Fiore's attitude to axe seems to largely be "axe is just choppy sword".
What makes me excited is that polaxe was, in the late medieval period, the go-to weapon of the knightly class on foot, so I am extremely eager to get to practise and teach it's use with my student!
