My high school taught intro bio freshmen year, intro chem sophomore year, then let you pick which you wanted to take for the next two years.

See, I noticed the bio/chem thing too, but I kind of assumed they were taking both simultaneously? It wasn’t common, but I’ve known at least a handful of kids that did that at my high school. I could see Lydia doing that bc it would make it easier to take an AP science her junior or senior years if she got both out of the way in the same school year.

my high school was, generally speaking:

biology freshman year

chemistry sophomore year

physics junior year

no science requirement senior year

I don't know what science electives they had senior year. after I graduated they started having a forensics class, which I only know about because my sister took it.

if Lydia and Stiles are both taking biology as well as chemistry, it makes me wonder what they were taking freshman year. they could both be taking both classes at the same time, though I wish the show would acknowledge things like that (if only because it would make me feel better).
