i love this community it makes me so happy
you and me are on the exact same page when it comes to Pokemon go. They did not seem to have any idea just how many people were going to download this app. Even though the announcement went completely viral they were clearly clueless because all of their servers completely crashed and as far as i know are still not up. Their launch of this app is a disaster. I want to play this game but i am literally not able to.
Their servers seem to be doing better. I went around my block for two hours with my brother (walked about three miles!! my summer exercise!!) and caught around 15 Pokémon.
Initially it was a pain in the ass to get it started, I'm thinking because all the kids were getting out of their summer programs and getting started. But once they realized that they have to get their parents permission to go walk around their neighborhood (why Ms. Ketchum let Ash go by himself in the first place is still a mystery to me), they quit the app because they’re not old enough to just go out and walk around.
My brother and I were straight up adventurers it was so awesome. We were at a poké stop and this guy drives up to us, stops his car and says “HEY ARE YOU GUYS PLAYING POKÉMON GO!?” to which we replied “HELL YEAH!”
AND THEN HE TOLD US ABOUT AN EEVIE AND A PIKACHU NEARBY IT WAS SO COOL
I fucking love Pokémon...
