SUMMARY:  Ash Ketchum continues his travels and encounters an old childhood friend in the new region of Alola. His feelings for his best friend, Misty resurface stronger than ever. Read how he finally decides to confront those "Dazzling Eyes" on his best adventure yet! 

I thought I add this a small thing. Only to say how much this week means to me. Sure, I had to schedule all of the posts I did because of my busy schedule (three ongoing fanfictions, one upcoming fanfiction, and work).

Ash and Misty has always been my OTP. I do remember trying on fanfiction to pair Ash with my OC, Ranee, only to test myself. I went with this idea to see how loyal I was to my OTP. I didn’t get very far with the story before scrapping it.

That’s when I came out with “Sinnoh League Chronicles”, getting rid of that cheating Tobias and adding in Ranee. Then I added in a visiting Misty and her getting jealous with Ranee’s “relationship” with Ash.

Our heroes come together to show Misty that not only was Ranee Paul’s girl but that Ash loved Misty. I did come out with a prequel before Unova started. I did try to do the Kalos saga but I couldn’t keep up with it, due to personal reasons.

So I hope that next year, I want to do something different. For example, like re-mixing “Sinnoh League Chronicles”, maybe rebooting it? But I also think that I rather wait on that and work on a Pokeshipping fanfiction in the future.

Maybe doing an idea where Misty meets up with Ash before ‘Once More with Reeling’ or Ash begging her to come with him in ‘A Real Cleffa Hanger’. You know, have him wrap his arms around her waist or something?

Or even at that, Ash could stay with Misty at the gym after he visits everyone in Pallet [Post ‘Gotta Catch You Later’]. Speaking of that trainwreck of an episode, I couldn’t believe how much I cried during that episode.

Oh man, I wish I was an artist for this one. I had an idea in my head that Ash would kiss Misty on the lips, at night, right by the lake where they first met. Like, it would be a romantic setting with a picnic basket, a blanket, sandwiches, some juice, and a candle. Pikachu would be near by, watching over them, smiling. Togekiss would be watching too, right by Pikachu.

She always loved the rain. He knew why too. She loved water, swimming, Water types, and all of that jazz. He, personally, hated the rain. Thunderstorms, the wind, and all of that jazz. She never knew why. He never showed a problem with rain before, or if he did, she never noticed.

But this time, it was different. The two of them were in Vermilion City, about to board the boat to the Alola region. It was a downpour outside, though. It reminded Ash of the multiple times he and Misty had been rained on. Including that one time during Mewtwo’s storm...

Ash sighed sadly, Pikachu twitching its ears sadly.

“Pika pi?” The Electric type asked, sounding worried.

Ash petted Pikachu quietly, his mind clearly somewhere else. That’s when Misty finally had enough.

“You know, you asked me to come with you to Alola but if you are gonna act like this, I might as well go home!” Misty hissed a bit.

Ash looked at her, the tears evident in the corner of his eyes. Misty’s face softened as did Pikachu’s. Suddenly, nothing else matter as it dawned on Misty why Ash hated the rain. She hugged Ash gently, his sobs shaking her body. She rubbed her back, keeping him close.

“I’m sorry Mist...” Ash sobbed, in between tears.

“I’m the one that should apologize to you,” Misty replied, sniffling. “You lost your Dad during a rainstorm, didn’t you?”

Ash merely nodded as she held him tight, her embrace warm as she was. Pikachu joined them, hoping into Ash’s lap. Pikachu curled onto his lap, looking up its master and friend.

“Pika pi...” Pikachu said, sadly.

Ash had finally stopped crying after a while, having fallen asleep in Misty’s lap. She kept him there, falling asleep herself. She would help Ash through this. She loved him dearly. And she knew he felt the same way about her...

Misty loved Pikachu. Ever since she saw the Pokemon hurt in Ash’s arms. She always loved to pet Pikachu and Pikachu loved being petted by her. Sure Pikachu like being petted by May or Dawn or Iris or Serena. But Misty was different. Misty was always ‘Pika chu pi.’

“Pikachu likes me way better than you guys!” Misty gloated.

“Pika!” Pikachu agreed.

Ash loved Togepi. Ever since he had found that egg, he loved tickling the baby Pokemon. The giggling from little one always put a smile on his face. Ash would always want it happy. Especially when it was scared from the lightning.

“Aw, you are so cute, Togepi.” Ash cooed.

“Brri!” Togepi chirped.

…

Misty loved Infernape. When Ash brought the Fire/Fighting type. Misty heard all about the Pokemon’s past. So when she first met it, she hugged it for a long time. Infernape was a bit taken back by it but accepted it.

“You are safe now, Infernape.” Misty promised.

“Infern…” Infernape said, nodding.

Ash loved Gyarados. When Misty first called on the Water/Flying type to defend Togetic, Ash was surprised that Misty had a Pokemon that she was once afraid of. He constantly trained with the Water/Flying type.

“You are amazing, Gyarados!” Ash gushed.

Gyarados only roared.

…

They decided to share a Chinchou. Misty loved it, mainly because her loved Corsola caught it for her. Ash was groaning at that but there was no one else he wanted to be with than her.

“Chinchou our baby,” Misty teased Ash one day.

“I thought that was Togekiss.” Ash teased right back.

“Chin?” Chinchou asked, sounding confused.

When Ash first started out, he wanted to be a Pokemon Master. When Misty left the Cerluean City gym, she wanted to be a Water Pokemon Master. Neither of them thought that they would meet each other at that lake that fateful day.

Everyday was different, every catch was different, each time that they got lost was different… When Misty left that day, Ash wanted to follow. He wanted to stop her so much. But he wanted to go to Hoenn to follow his dream. And Misty had to follow hers.

The two met again and with each phone call and letter, they got closer and closer. Misty had come when Ash had finally defeated Brandon. While being a Battle Frontier brain wasn’t his dream, he was considering it so that Misty would come back to him.

She told him, “Whatever you decide, I’ll always be there for you.”

“I hope so cause I am heavily in love with you…” Ash confessed.

Misty had a huge blush on her face as the others watched this from a safe distance. Misty had tears in her eyes as she hugged Ash tightly. Ash returned it, his hat flying off of his head.

“I love you too…” She replied, crying.

Ash held her close, rubbing her back gently. He finally decided to decline Scott’s offer and decided to travel Sinnoh with his beloved girlfriend. He never let go of her hand. She met up with her Togetic, which had evolved into a Togekiss.

They both traveled with Brock, Dawn, and Piplup. They met Paul, which neither of them liked. Chimchar was adopted by both Ash and Misty. And they had been in each other’s lives from that day forward. Ash learned how to control his aura before their Sinnoh adventure.

They went to Unova and Kalos together. While Misty didn’t like Iris that much, she couldn’t stand Serena. They two constantly fought over Ash, though Ash had made it perfectly clear that Misty is - and forever be - his girl. And that much he swore by.

And he had the perfect ring for her too…

“We’re finally here!” Ash Ketchum gushed as soon as he got off the plane.

“Pika!” His Pikachu cheered, coming with him and jumping onto his shoulder.

Ash smiled at Pikachu, walking into the airport of Vermilion City. He had just arrived here from Kalos, after getting runner-up in the Kalos League. It was the best he had gotten so far, besides his Sinnoh conquest.

“I was thinking about going to see Misty before we head home,” Ash told the small mouse.

“Pika chu pi!” Pikachu squeaked happily.

Ash had to chuckle as he headed out of the airport. A few people recognized him from the broadcast of the Kalos League. Others not so much. Ash was okay with that, he just wanted to see Misty.

…

“I’m gonna try being Kalos Queen,” Serena told Ash, earlier that day. “And I want to work on my performances. So I’m gonna go to Hoenn and enter Pokemon Contests.”

“That’s great, Serena,” Ash replied, with a smile. “I know you will do well.”

“I’d do better if you were coming with me,” Serena flirted, the blush on her face obvious.

Ash blinked a bit. She had kissed his cheek earlier and he knew it was time to tell her everything.

He replied softly, “Serena, I’m sorry but I don’t feel the same way as you do…”

Serena sighed sadly. Of course she sensed his attraction to someone else. She had to kiss his cheek to be sure.

She told him, kicking the ground a bit, “I know, Ash. You told me that a while ago… But it doesn’t help that I liked you since that day at summer camp…”

Ash put his hand on her shoulder as he reminded her, “You liked me because I was kind enough to help you that day. Plus, it was only one day. I’ve known someone since my first days as a trainer. She knows me so well and she knows the truth…”

“The truth about what?” Serena asked, making eye contact.

Ash shook his head and stated, “That’s not important. What is important is that you go to Hoenn with Clemont and Bonnie. You and Clemont make a great team better than a relationship with me that will never be.”

…

Ash finally arrived to the Cerulean City gym that afternoon. The Dewgong on the top reminded him of when he first came here.

“We are finally here!” Ash gushed.

“Pika!” Pikachu agreed.

Ash, without wasting another second, headed into the gym. He walked into the pool area, where he saw a Psyduck waddling around.

“Psy, psy, duck…” It said, being its dopey self.

“Hey Psyduck!” Ash greeted, smiling.

“Pika!” Pikachu said, jumping off of Ash’s shoulder and running to a pretty young lady.

It was Misty. She had long red hair which was pulled into a high ponytail, cerulean eyes, wearing a yellow hoodie with a Mystic Water pendant around her neck, light blue shorts, a white belt with a pink buckle on it, and yellow and blue sneakers. She had grown from a scrawny runt to a beautiful young lady.

…

Serena blushed a bit as she asked, “You really think so, Ash?”

Ash nodded and answered, “Yes, definitely. Just wait for him. That’s what I should’ve done for Misty.”

“The girl on the lure you had?” Serena questioned.

Ash nodded yet again as Serena smiled a bit. She offered her hand as Ash took it and shook it. Serena smiled as she headed off to find Clemont. Ash headed off with Pikachu, now knowing what he had to do.

…

Misty shared a kiss with Ash, happy. Ash returned it as Pikachu wagged its tail happily. Psyduck watched, looking dopey as always.

“Come with me?” Ash asked her that night.

“To where?” Misty questioned, looking up at him as they cuddled.

“To Alola.” Ash answered.

“Where’s that?” Misty asked, now sitting up.
